Feeling Comfortable in Emotion
I love the tools, understanding, and education that comes with this book. The book offers early enlightenment into a comprehension of what we feel and perhaps better explains why we might feel it—a vastly positive enrichment for any child's growth. The feelings chart in the book can be used as guidance to describe their emotion, and a visual exercise in front of a mirror to spot facial expression. The whole concept is a smart way for a child to identify their feelings, so that they might, in time, be able to sense how others are feeling. Learning to associate feelings is one of the best things we can teach our kids. I recommend this book to all children as young as possible.

A nice surpise
I pre-read this book and thought that it was too complex for our moody-fighting 5 and 7 year old granddaughters. I was prepared to simplify it for them but they both were able to understand and apply the "emotions". We even noticed that they were much calmer, at least for one day.

A great resource for therapists
I'm the director of Early Childhood Wellness Place, a clinic for children 1-12 with mental health concerns. We use many of the "Little Spot" books but this is likely our favorite. Such a great resource for so many of our kids. The first couple weeks we had it we were passing it back and forth between offices and needing to coordinate who was using it! It's a great way to help kids understand lots of different feelings and how to figure out which of the feelings they are currently experiencing.

Fun book about feelings.
My kids and I love this book, we love all of the books that we have read so far from this author. This one is great, it’s so colorful and it helps kids, or really anyone learn more about feelings, emotions and facial expressions. It lets them know that everyone has these feelings, sometimes it’s hard to explain but they’re not alone. It explains feelings that maybe they don’t understand in a fun way. Read this book and you too can become an “emotion detective”, lol so cute. This is a perfect addition to our homeschool book collection.

Good therapist tool
I am working on my MA in counseling and working with kids for my internship. I have enjoyed using this as a tool to talk with my clients about emotion identification and regulation. The illustrations help kids understand what emotions and look like and helps them expand their emotional vocabulary.

Very good for children
This series of books was recommended by an OT. All the books are very good for children who have big emotions, who are rigid/ fixated, anxiety, or who have a hard time to understand or cope/ regulate feelings. Going through all the emotions helps my child understand their own feelings and helps them communicate better. Highly recommended, even for a very young child.

Another health helpful read
We’ve really enjoyed reading through the spot series. We weren’t as big a fan of this ones, we found the emotion cues didn’t quite work for us, but a good read nonetheless.

Another Great Book!
What a great addition to our book collection. Understanding emotions and feelings is not an easy thing to do, but this book does a great job of bringing the task to a level that is meaningful and helpful for young children.I especially like how it provides a language frame that can be used to help children communicate how they feel and why. “I feel...when....” is a great way to assist children in expressing their needs to others. As a teacher, using a mirror to have children practice and examine facial expressions will be both fun and useful.Eager to share this book with my students in the future.
