Glideaway BB34 Bolt On Headboard and Foot Board Bed Frame Center Feet - Queen

I purchased an antique bed and ordered this frame and it worked out better than expected. My husband is a big man and he felt very comfortable when he tested it out.

I liked that this unit was made in America, but that is it. The factory did not secure the rails inside the box so when the shipper tossed them around in transit, the ends punched through the box and one end was bent and they were all scratched up. The holes at each end of the center cross bar were not drilled through so you couldn't bolt it in place. Fortunately I have a drill press and all the other needed tools to fix these things, but at this price you shouldn't have to do that. After reading other reviews about the plastic leg hardware breaking, I installed a flat washer and nut on each leg and snugged it up to the bottom of the plastic to support them and prevent them from breaking. A few dollars of hardware that the manufacturer should have included. The headboard/footboard that I bolted to the frame easily sway back and forth since the rail ends are not braced back to the side rails and are very flexible. I will install braces later to fix this but it should have been done at the factory. If I wasn't in a hurry to get this guest bed room set up, I'd have sent this junk back. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a better quality unit.

Absolutely perfect, and the customer service was amazing. I ordered this frame because I have both a headboard and a footboard, Michael at Amazon called me to make sure this was what I needed. He couldn't have been any better, best customer service experience I have ever had!!! The frame is perfect, I was a little worried my headboard wouldn't for because of how far spaced the bolt holes are, but it's perfect.

I bought this for my grown son, he has broken almost ever bed he has ever owned. He is approximately 5 11 and close to 240lbs but he likes to jump and plop down on his bed which is what usually breaks them. I did have a head and footboard already to attach to this when making this purchase. I have to say I'm am happy with this purchase so far approximately 2 months in and no bent bars or broken pieces. It seems sturdy and well welded . I would buy again.
