By selecting the Blender tone control option you can get those classic Tele tones. The blender control turned fully clockwise (CW) sets it to bypass mode which gives you the 5 classic Strat tones. But when you start to roll it counter-clockwise (CCW), you start to add in either the neck or the bridge pickup to your existing 5-way switch position. It will add a little or full-on depending on how far you turn the knob.
