A great machine at a great price
This little Pocket PC is truly a piece of artwork. It is the most full-featured device you can find for such a reasonable price. The device has WI-FI, a fast processor (400MHZ, plenty of RAM(96MB) and expansion (SD and compact flash). It has a great little jog dial and although many complain about the record button above that, it can be turned off, changed to do something else or you can make it so that buttons don't "wake" the device.I must say that the WI-FI is awesome. Although I was skeptical at first the scrolling for non-PDA optimized sites is easy and not at all a buden. Transfer speeds are also very close to any laptop or desktop WI-FI.I've been finding more and more uses for the device and there are many great freewares out there for it. I just can't express how great this device is, I think everyone should own one!

disappointing
This product is great on features, which was the reason why I bought it. I started having trouble with connecting it to the internet, with the router being in close viscinity.I later found out after reading some more reviews that this device's Wi-Fi card only supports 64-bit WEP encryption, and not 12-bit. I kept on having problems even if WEP encryption was disabled. After atleast 10 hard-resets over a period of 15 days, the battery stopped charging, even when the unit was on the cradle for 2 days in a row. I have always had a hard time with Toshiba's customer service, so I decided not to contact them, and return the PDA back to Amazon.I think Toshiba has realized some of the problems in this PDA, which is why they have come out with a new line altogether. I would however recommend getting an HP or Dell, because of their customer support.

Keep your money and shop for another brand!
Oh, where to start! I purchased my e755 brand new from Amazon. Everything was going great. Big screen, fast processor, very cool! I purchased a toshiba cable to connect to a serial port. The cable would sometimes get stuck and on one occassion, taking it out actually broke the connector prongs at the bottom. It was still under warranty so I sent it off to Toshiba to get repaired. I get a call a few days later saying it's gonna cost $100 to fix? I'm thinking, WHAT? I told them I was using a Toshiba cable but it didn't matter. So, i forked out $100 for them to repair something that a Toshiba cable broke. (Just so you know, i have other cables that I use to sync up and they connect just fine ... no problems whatsoever!). So, i get it back and everything is great again. I use the Toshiba cable again (I was using it to hook up the PDA to my GPS for navigation) and noticed it was getting stuck again. So, to prove my point, i called Toshiba and they sent me an RMA to send it in. This time I include the pda AND cable. Of course, once it gets there, they connect the cable without problem (the problem didn't happen all the time, it was intermittent). So, i get another call saying, the cable connects just fine. The tech support person asks (like i'm an idiot), "Do you know how to remove the cable?" I say, "Of course, just push in the side buttons and pull it off!" And in a huff she responds, "NO! You push in the buttons and have to wiggle it gently side-to-side!" I'm thinking, my other cables you don't have to do that and trust me when it got stuck, i did that too (wiggle side to side). Needless to say, i had them ship it back to me.About a month ago, I got the infamous white screen of death (my warranty has expired). After reading lots online about it, I realize i am hosed. Somebody sent it in (still under warranty) and Toshiba hit them with a $150 charge to fix it. Toshiba tech support does NOT care about its customers. They are arrogant and rude; hopefully, you will never have to deal with them. This item works well when it works, but the minute something goes wrong (and it will), you will not be pleased with Toshiba's tech support. It's a shame that a company like Toshiba has to resort to such lowness. I'm buying a new PDA and you can bet it will not be a Toshiba.

Toshiba support
This is would be an almost perfect PDA from my experience with an e740, (it does not have the screen resolution of my former Sony Palm OS PDA'S), BUT support is not good. They did answer my E-mail support question quickly, but had no solution. Even though my unit is not very old, they will not provide an upgrade to Mobile 2003, which it could easily support. I suspect support for the e75x PDA's will be equally poor and short lived, which translates into upgrading being very expensive. Buyer beware.

Good Performance.
Read many reviews and since my house is totally 802.11, I decided on the e755. Set up was quite easy. Connecting to my wi-fi was e breeze. The only problem I encountered was a white screen on the second day, which I went to Toshiba website and found instructions on how to reset. After relaoding all my setting (15-20 mins), I was on the go again.Another annoyance is the effort it takes to remove the PDA from the cradle. Toshiba should include a release button like the one they have for the CF card.

My 3rd PPC and by far the best!
This is the 3rd Pocket PC I have owned. (I had a Philips Nino and a Cassiopeia EM500) The Technology and the features of Win CE has come a long way. The built in WiFi connect with ease to my home and work networks. However, being familiar with WiFi home networks does help. The range of the WiFi was better that I expected and is compraiable to any of my other WiFi devices. In all this the best PPC I have had and I have had a month now with no issues. I highly recommend this unit over many of the others. And [at the price], you can not beat the price for performance!
