Classic Bruce Willis: The Universal Masters Collection

I already had Return of Bruno when I bought Classic Bruce Willis. Classic has more recordings, some I'venever heard before. While my favorites are Under the Boardwalk and Save the Last Dance for Me, I reallylike Secret Agent Man. As a long time fan, I am really happy with this CD. It just puts me in a good moodevery time.

This compilations includes the now hard-to-find 'Return of Bruno' album in its entirety (though the tracks are re-sequenced) plus the 12" remix of the hit single "Respect Yourself." That's why I got it. I had 'The Return of Bruno' on vinyl back in the day and played it to death. There's some really fun stuff here in addition to "Respect Yourself" (duet with June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters; she TEARS it up here). Highlights include "Coming' Right Up," "Under the Boardwalk" (with The Temptations on backing vocals), "Down In Hollywood," "Fun Time," and the Willis original "Jackpot (Bruno's Bop)." I wanted to snag the 'Bruno' album on CD and saw the very high prices for the out-of-print release.In addition to all of 'Bruno' the collection also has seven tunes originally found on Willis' follow-up album 'If It Don't Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger.' Highlights include a nice version of "Save the Last Dance For Me" and James Brown's "I'll Go Crazy."Say what you will about Bruce Willis as a singer - he's no Joe Cocker, but he can put a song across with infectious energy. And he adds some good harmonica licks to the mix as well (one of the cuts from the second album is an instrumental, in fact, that features primarily his blues harp soloing).

Bruce Willis isn't just a good actor or a funny guy, he's also a very good singer and musician! This CD contains a fine selection of his Soul and R&B influenced music that I know I enjoy, and I think you'll enjoy it too! You might even be a bit surprised at just how good Willis really is! 2 Thumbs up!!&!

I LOVE Bruce Willis - and i love the blues. I am surprised that so many people don't even know he has a band. I went to see him in person and he is simply awesome. So sexy and so in love with the music he does. His music is equal to his acting. Too bad more people don't know he has all this music that is as fabulous as his films.This CD contains a song I had previously owned on a cassette tape. I wore it totally out. I tried and tried to find it in record stores - the various clerks would tell me the song was not available on any of his CDS. I finally resorted to the computer and found it. I don't like putting my financial info on the computer, but in this case it was worth the chance. love, love, love it. "Here Comes Trouble Again".

What can I say IT'S BRUCE!!

I recently re watched the series moonlighting, watching him sing a few times on the show prompted me to listen to a few of the songs he released on c.d. I was blown away! Under the boardwalk, respect yourself, w/ the pointer sisters, but my personal favorite is his take on the Deon Jackson song, Love makes the world go round. His music is fantastic makes you wanna dance! and his voice is on point. This c.d. does not disappoint!! Wish I had bought this much sooner.

I first heard these songs on a CD where he labels himself as BRUNO. I was first blown away it was Bruce Willis, but I remember the stuff he would sing occasionally on "Moonlighting". The songs are Old Classics- with a special twist on his James Bondish re-do of SECRET AGENT MAN (awesome). When I decided to get the BRUNO CD, it was pretty much unavailable or too expen$ive. This CD from Universal Collections is the SAME thing at a usually low Amazon price (so just get it!).

Loved this album when it 1st came out and love it MORE now. Why hasn't Bruce made a follow up, as it really is good.He's one of the better actors turned singers. All the tracks are delivered with style and Bruce's unique humour. It just sounds like all involved had a good time making this album.Bruce do another asap...and is there a DVD of Bruce singing out there ? Would like to see that
