This is an okay option for the price. The rubber attachment that secures the light to the helmet is pretty weak, I ended up having to rubber band the light to it to keep it from falling off. The red light died less than two weeks of using it intermittently, not sure if it's the battery or the led. Haven't looked into it yet.

Bidirectional light of my life…
So this is the second one of these that I have purchased. It works great and is reliable even in the rain. My only criticism is that the on/off button should be recessed because if I put my helmet in a bag or drop it on a surface the light inevitable is on when inpick up my helmet again.

ok helmet light if you use tie bands to mount
I have mounted on my helmet. only 4 stars due to the difficulty mounting. I ended up using tie bands instead of their mounting system which I could not get to work without risk of having the light pop off or be too wiggly using the velcro strap.

Bell Orion Helmet Light
Low profile. Bright. The two-direction strap retainer must be designed and mfg. better. Battery life seems a bit short. but, all good because this is the only product of this design we could find available.

but the base attachment is bad engineering.

Meh
The way it's designed to attach to th helmet is stupid, it can easily fall off.

Keeps falling off, every single day. The only ...
Keeps falling off, every single day. The only thing that holds this light to its own strap are four microscopic hooks that are made of soft rubber. As soon as you rub the helmet against something (even as light weight as a curtain of flag) the light is knocked off.
