Griot's Garage 11345 Speed Shine Quick Detailing Kit

Speed Shine is an outstanding product. It should be used with Griot's dedicated Speed Shine towels (I tried using the cheap yellow microfiber towels you can get at Costco and they didn't do nearly as good a job). Speed Shine is part of a system of products that Griot's Garage puts out. If you use Speed Shine with their paint clay, and follow that up with a polish, seal and wax, then you're going to get about as nice a finish as you can get without taking the car to an upscale professional auto detail shop.The Speed Shine is great in between washes. If you have a week of nice weather, but live in a dusty environment, it'll keep your car looking like it's just been washed as long as you apply it every couple of days. If you love your ride, then the ten minutes or so it takes to apply Speed Shine to to your car will be relaxing and rewarding. Also, this product does a GREAT job at removing any dried-up polish or wax. In fact, if you apply Griot's No. 2 polish with their DA buffer and try to remove the dried residue WITHOUT Speed Shine, you're going to be sore for a week.Compared to Meguiar's Quick Detailer, the Griot's Garage product leaves less cloudy residue behind and seems to pick up more dirt. I actually prefer the cinnamon smell of the Meguiar's product, but Speed Shine has a bubble gum smell that isn't offensive, so working in an enclosed garage isn't going to leave you with a headache.If you're going to buy Speed Shine, then get the 11345 quick detailing kit that comes with the towels. It'll save you several dollars over buying the two products separately. Afterwards, get your refills in one-gallon containers. If your sprayer ever goes bad, Griot's Garage will warranty it for life and send you a new one for free.I've been mostly happy with Griot's Garage and visit their Tacoma, WA store often. Some of their products leave a bit to be desired (i.e., their terrible bucket that's made in China). Speed Shine is made in the USA and it's made well.

This is great for anyone looking for a quick touch up between washes. I have a brand new car but unfortunately live in a coastal California city where I do not have a garage or access to a driveway where I can wash the car myself. So, I am forced to keep my car under a cover almost everyday. One precaution for using a car cover is that the car must be CLEAN before covering it to prevent trapped dust/debris from scratching the paint. This product is perfect for dusting off after taking the car out for the day.A few sprays to get the area moist and a gentle swipe takes LIGHT dust/grime off. For anything more, I would use Griot's Spray-On Car Wash. I have been using this a couple of times a week for more than a month now and it is very gentle on the car's finish. Just make sure you get the area moist and wipe with very slight pressure. Buff off afterwards with a clean microfiber and you are done! The microfiber cloths provided are high quality and work great.I recommend this to anyone who needs a touch up and doesn't want to do a full wash. It cleans easily and buffs to a shine.

This stuff is by far the best product on the market to clean off dust, bugs, bird droppings, etc. or just to give a great shine. Works on Paint, Chrome, Plastic trim, even running boards. It smells great too. I bought a large bottle for refilling shortly after seeing the results.I use this product for 2 main reasons.1. After I wash my vehicle, sometimes I get some water spots that run down from the mirrors and bed rails of my truck. I spray on and wipe off with a microfiber towel. It shines like no other.2. I keep a bottle in my truck for anytime I have some bugs splattered on the front grill or paint, or bird crap on the hood. I spray it on and let it soak for 5 seconds and then wipe off. It literally pulls off the bird poop and bugs like no other. I heard it is a great lubricant as well, which I believe after seeing how it wipes away debris without scratching anything.

I recently bought a brand new 2014 shiny red car. It's beautiful and I've sworn to myself that I'll never run it through a conventional car wash but will do my best to keep it looking new. Unfortunately, I'm unable to park in my garage at this time so I'm finding bird droppings regularly on the car. I've been using this product almost exclusively for cleaning the bird droppings off and I must say, wherever this product is used on the car, it's immediately apparent that it really works well and gets that portion of the car looking just like new. I bought a couple of other Griot's Garage products to use and have found the three that I have to all be of exceptional quality. I don't wash my car myself; I don't have the time or energy. I do pay to have it detailed monthly. In between the professional details, though, there's a need for products like this. I recommend this and think you can buy this with confidence.

This is the third Griot's product that has made me believe that Griot's Garage products are superior to others. My second favorite products are from Maguire, but this is my first choice. On top of that, the microfiber towels that come with this kit are rated five stars as well. They do not leave lint like others have said. Just shake them out before you use them to shake out the loose stuff and the rest is solid. Even the tag was hard to tear off. That's how well it holds up. However, I use them to buff the speed shine after I'm done. I use a regular microfiber to do all the dirty cleaning. This product is by far the best in between car detailer out there. Trust me, I've tried many out there. It's worth every penny.

This stuff is excellent. I remember awhile back I was going to buy some for my car, but I never did. I just got a new guitar (with a hefty price tag) and I was looking for a way to clean it without scratching the finish. I went with the combo of the speed shine and the speed shine towels. All I can say is wow! After brushing all of the dust and dirt off of the guitar, I wiped it down with speed shine and it’s gorgeous and did not scratch!Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again and will likely use it on my car as well!

I have used Speed Shine on my car for many years, but it was recently suggested for cleaning the piano finish on a new REL subwoofer. And they were right.

I have used this for a quick polish up following the full wash and rinse.He result is about as good as doing the full polish with wax.Great time saver.
