Buzzing Magnets Rattlesnake Eggs Chatters

This pair of magnets fit in the palm of your hand. Their individual magnetic fields are very strong, so they will attract each other from surprising distances. If you throw them in the air separately (one in each hand), they will attract each other and make a loud buzzing sound as they fall. I teach physical science and have units on magnetic fields and properties of matter. There is nothing like throwing these magnets in the air next to a student who is asleep in 1st period to get their attention! These magnets are so strong that you can put one underneath a table and one on top and they will still attract each other, making the magnet on top move like "magic". They are also a good starter for discussing the properties of hematite, and obviously very magnetic mineral. Whenever I hear the "why are we learning this?" question, I refer to these magnets and tell them "we are learning this so that you won't be a sucker at a magic show".

Didn't Rattle as we expected, but are good magnets

Because of the location of the poles in these magnets I use them to demonstrate electric motor pperation with a compass in my automotive classes. The students enjoy the lesson and it sticks either them.

These were so fun! We bought them and shared a blast from the past memory with our niece and nephew and they loved the buzzing sound of it.

In the picture it showed that the magnets are big and magnetic but the ones I got are tiny and not magnetic at all please don't waist your money with this brand go shop for a different brand of magnets.

I feel like the size of the magnets were deceiving. I was under the impression they were being measured in inches.
