True HD, and excellent colour reproduction.
I've had this wireless microscope now for about a month and a half, and used it in that time for some electronics work - and looking at interesting bugs in the garden. You've no doubt read several of the other reviews already, so I'll just go over the bits I've noticed myself.I've also included images of a professional microscope calibration slide I use to show you in real terms how much magnification you will get.1: The microscope is easy to "set up" and use.On Android I just visited Google Play and downloaded the software. It's very simple - video/picture taking, "flip view" if you want the focus knob by your fingers rather than your thumb, view images/video, and set resolution.I didn't seen a difference when I tried setting the resolution lower than the default HD.When you turn the microscope on, a few seconds later a new WiFi connection will appear on your phone "Max-See_7823". Selecting it, and opening the "Max_See" app shows the streaming video. It's simple and works well - I've not had any drop outs or video stream crashes while I've used it - though I've not tried using the camera further than around a meter from the phone. The PC will see the microscope as a web-cam, and because of the speed of USB 2 being slower than the WiFi, it's limited to 720P, rather than full HD - so I'd recommend using the phone to capture the video and images. The metal stand is solid and relatively heavy and stops the microscope from tipping around.2: There is little to no color correction. This is a good thing - one microscope I have guesses the white balance - which means anything very colored I point it at gets turned a drab shade, as it thinks it's looking at a mostly "grey" image.Circuit boards appear a lovely strong green, copper traces a lovely bronze, LED's bright red - the default white balance it uses is quite accurate, and the white LED's don't add an incorrect colour cast to the images.3: The focus wheel wiggles the image. The focus wheel on my microscope moves the image around a fair bit. Despite this focusing was easy, and it was easy to reframe the image when going from the zoomed out view to the much closer close-up view.It just means that it's pointless to keep the camera still when zooming in, you'll need to adjust where it's pointing anyway. It's not a terrible thing though.4: Image quality. The microscopes image quality is very good, and is HD just as claimed. The color reproduction is excellent. Some microscopes take a smaller image and add "duplicated pretend" pixels to "increase" the resolution, not this one!The microscope has both optical zoom (2 levels) via the wheel, and digital zoom via the two zoom buttons (+/-) (5 levels).I wouldn't bother with the digital-zoom buttons unless you have no way of editing the image later. They merely cut away border pixels and zoom the pixels that are left. The image is bigger, but there's no new detail.Fortunately the wheel DOES do optical zoom, so when you zoom to the 2nd (high) magnification, you're seeing much more detail.5: The battery life is good.I've used it for an hour at a time, and as I've plugged it in to recharge each time, I've never run out of battery.I can't confirm the full run time though.I like this microscope - it's got a good quality image, the colour is good, and the WiFi connection is solid. The application is simple to use and does its job well. It does lack things like measurement tools, and other nice things like cropping images, and editing video. But all that can be done on your PC "back at base" - they're not features that have to be there.Photographs:A: The heavy metal viewing stand, USB charge/video cable, microscope storage stand, warranty, and instructions.B: The microscope, viewing stand, and storage stand.C: The microscope in the storage stand. The little gap is to give space for the microscopes lens cover lever.D: The front of the microscope with the clear white LED's running.E: This is a professional microscope callibration slide. The FULL width of the bar is ONE millimeter. This image was taken with the microscope in high zoom, with 1x digital zoom.F: This is a professional microscope calibration slide. The FULL width of the bar is ONE millimeter. This image was taken with the microscope in high zoom, with 2x digital zoom. Th bar did not fit fully onto the display! Each long vertical bar is 0.1mm, each short bar between is 0.05mm and each of the shortest bars is 0.01mm, that's 100 bars from side to side.G: This is a professional microscope calibration slide. The FULL width of the bar is ONE millimeter. This image was taken with the microscope in low zoom, with 1x digital zoom. You can see the circular border around the 1mm wide calibration guide. The diameter of the circle is 4mm.H: A finger print in low zoom. Good color reproduction.I: An LCD panel in low zoom. 1x digital zoom.J: an LCD panel in high zoom. 1x digital zoom.K: An aged-effect mouse mat taken in low zoom. 1x digital zoom.L: An aged-effect mouse mat taken in high zoom. 1x digital zoom.M: A challenging circuit board image - the deep green coating is displayed accurately, and not washed out by a too eager auto-white-balance.N: A quartz crystal in low zoom. 1x digital zoom.O: The same quartz crystal in high zoom. 1x digital zoom.P: A micro USB connector in low zoomQ: An LED showing its golden solder wires from the pads to the silicon crystal using low zoom. 1x digital zoom.

High-quality USB microscope
I needed a microscope to fix some bent pins on an Intel motherboard and opted for this one. At £37 it's reasoanbly priced and was delivered free by Amazon prime next day. It comes with charging cable, manual and some accessories like a stand and upright storage for the scope.I installed it on my Microsoft Surface tablet as this one is most portable for the jobs I intend to do. Windows 10 recognised this device immediately and then you download the software for Windows 10. There are other download sites for Android and Apple. After extracting the file it loaded the camera program on my desktop (see pic) and you can take photos or video. You can't change the default location as far as I could see. Pictures were really good, after I remembered to remove the protective cap, and I took some examples. You can change focus at the back, zoom in for greater magnification and the LED illuminates the object you are analysing. It worked splendidly and I'm now ready to tackle some motherboards that have bent pins and need a device like this and some precision tweezers to rectify.

Good fun
I thought I would treat myself to a digital microscope and was amazed at how light weight this is, also very powerful magnification. It was reasonably easy to set up the software interface on my PC. Also works with Android and Iphones ok. The images taken are pretty good definition . The stand seems a little delicate but you can use without it is so light and portable. A quality , reasonably priced Digital Microscope you can have hours of fun with.

Great clarity of magnification once I overcame the setup.
This seemed to be a bit fiddly to get working in the first place...but maybe I should have been more patient! Whatever, now have it working connected with PC, and also under WiFi on my iPad and iPhone and am very impressed with it!! Bought it for my young daughter, but think I'm having the most fun with it!!

Nice toy
This microscope camera is easy to use, and very clean to see the things on the phone, but I think it is a toy only for kids.

Usable for my activities

Awful
Stopped working after literally two days, software download was an absolute nightmare. The website is all in Chinese so you don't know where to click. The microscope itself is falling apart, the dial doesn't work smoothly which is a nightmare when you want to delicately zoom in on something.Update: not only is this product terrible but I keep receiving emails from the seller telling me they will pay £20 if I remove this review. Untrustworthy seller, why would you buy from someone like this.

Very good microscope 👍🏻
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is very easy to setup , download an app, connect to it and off you go.With the microscope just connect the gooseneck with the base that’s done.It can be record and photography so that I can keep a record for the result.I use it on my skin and my hair , my hair line is getting higher and is getting thinner I can keep track of my health as well. This microscope is really good able to zoom in and see very detail, I have used a carbon filter as a test and I can see the fibre on it.Very fun and useful for my children and myself.
