Where was Jesus from age 12 to age 30?
I have been digging for the Facts about this Man called... Jesus / Yeshua / Emanuel / Issa... for most of my life. I was raised in a Christian- ( Protestant ) family. I had many questions no one wanted me asking... The Church had no real answers for me... so I have had to find them on my own ( As the Teacher directs us to do ). This book, like all books can... only point in the direction where answers can be found. But it is a good Book! Keep Searching for and Accept ONLY the Truth you find in your Heart! " Be Still and ...?...

Jesus Was A Buddhist Too
I don't doubt this version of what Jesus did in terms of his spiritual training during the unaccounted years. Buddhism was the most advanced philosophy during his time; there are many elements of it in Christianity. Hindus and yoga practitioners, based on their practice, years of experience, austerities, etc were able to go well beyond the capacity of what we consider that of humanity in terms of healing and creating "miracles". Obviously Jesus was a fast learner.

Overall I found it to be a good read. I recommend it to anyone who wants ...
Very interesting chronicle of his sojourn to Nepal and surrounding area. The one problem with the book is Nicolas Notovich's native tongue is not English so the writing is a bit askew. Nevertheless it is understandable and you get the gist of what he is trying to get across in his writing. The transcripts of Jesus' teachings are very enlightening and well worth the read. Overall I found it to be a good read. I recommend it to anyone who wants to verify the facts of Jesus' time spent in India and Nepal and his Buddhist/Hindu origins.

A surprise. Well written fast tempo
This was an exciting and interesting look into the missing of Jesus Christ.Fascinating but it rang trueThe telling of this take was I think more accurate. The Jewish people were labeled killers but in this historical treatise we see the real killer, pagan Rome.Pilate was obsessed and wanted Christ dead the Jewish leaders tried but failed to have him saved. The so called internal consistency of this recounting is intense, while the consistency of Christ's core teachings is clear and unremitting in his life of the father, the great creatorWhere the fails is only when the author tries to ignore the major Catholic, Christian adherence to the rising of Christ as the reason for the empty tomb. The logical explanations are fine save that there were witnesses and Christ appeared to his mother and othersThis was A fascinating read

Compelling
I had been aware of this author's amazing story for some 40 years, but never actually read his version. This is important material to be studied and explored for those who seek the Truth.

interesting idea but might not be grounded on any facts :/
compelling read, makes connections to two religions that make quite a bit of sense to me on the surface, after a bit more research it seems that there may be some controversy as to whether Notovitch fabricated all of his sources. didn't care for his hyperbole putting down various peoples for levity, not a bit deal, very brief, but detracts from any seriousness the book might represent. interesting (after his day to day adventures that makes up the first half or so of the book which seemed a bit selfcentered) thought provoking, but possibly fiction.

An Insightful Paradigm Shift of Hidden Insights.
I had learned of this truth in questioning the logic in the Bible, and from "The King of Travelers", by Ed Martin, PhD. It's welcoming to find another source who confirms the truth. There may have been other sources I've been influenced with this research, although I don't recall them at this moment. It reinforces Jesus's (Issa's) teachings, in my opinion.

Illuminating, freeing
I skipped the account by Notovitch and went right for the texts he'd translated. Those are invaluable and freed my soul.

more anthropology than the title suggests
Although a product of its time (first published 1890) and originally written in Russian, I found the descriptions of his journeys through the north-west of the Indian sub-continent and into Tibet (Thibet in this translation) keenly observed and quite fascinating to read; that said, I don't know the extent to which his adventures are true or to what extent it might be his version of 'King Solomon's Mines'. Nice touch near the beginning where he says he sought authentication of his data from the Vatican, which they couldn't provide, but, he says, they tried to buy his manuscript. Dan Brownish a hundred years before Dan Brown. What he claims to have found, after all his travels and descriptions, is evidence that a holy man called Issa, who died in the late 1st century CE and is buried in Srinagar, Kashmir, was also known as Yuz Asaf. The grave is peculiar to the extent that the interrment is said to be east-west and is marked by a stone carving of two feet with what it said to be the imprint of nails having been driven through them. The site also contains the remains of Syed Naseerudin, a medieval Sufi saint (buried north-south) and both are recognized as Moslem holy men by locals who visit the shrine. The Yuz Asaf grave was first mentioned in 112 CE and (plot spoiler) Nicolas Notovitch identifies him as Jesus Christ. Various people have tried that. The New Testament is silent about what Jesus did in his youth. Apart from one anecdote when he was 12, the thirty-odd years between his birth and ministry are not accounted for by the Gospel writers, leaving room for speculation. The sayings of Jesus, as quoted, are not at odds with Bhuddist teachings, so one has the option of imagining that he trained in India. Or at Qumran. The idea of Jesus having a grave in Kashmir is fuelled by a rich mix of sources. Local traditions recall Jesus and his mother arriving in the area, for example, and local traditions also identify Kashmir as a place where the lost tribes of Israel went as their homeland was taken over by invaders. It sits well with some people for Jesus to have survived the crucifiction (or died and been resurrected) and then to continue living on Earth. He couldn't have done that in the Roman Empire, but he could have 2,000 miles east of Roman influence. This book is a link in the patchwork of traditions and ideas. I can't tell how much of it is real and how much he made up. I had the same problem with Alex Haley's 'Roots'. The unknown life of Jesus Christ sheds no light on its title, but it was an interesting journey nevertheless. Dan Brown will love it.

Poor quality print
The book is a reproduction of an old book. The description did say that there were some imperfections in it, but did not prepare me for the fact that a great many whole pages were missing and others (again a great many) had half the page missing - making it impossible to read. Thankfully the Kindle version seems complete however.

Sarker's Review
I came to know about this book from Holger Kirsten's Jesus Lived in India. Finally got this book which is a translated account of the Russian Traveller who claims to have seen written account of Jesus's stay in Tibet. The deeply devout will not like this book as it challenges the very base of Christianity, that Jesus died and ascended to heaven. But this book gives some compelling evidence and forces you to think in a practical way. What is said here is very probable and they have even found a tomb in Kashmir which is said to be the final resting place of Jesus. This needs further research to find out more about the historical Jesus.A very good read. Now about the quality of the book. It is printed in India, the pages are good and print is clear and easily readable. A thin book which can be completed in a single day.If you have a curious mind get this book.Uploading some pictures for your better understanding. Hope this review is helpful to you. Thanks for reading.
