Duffy

Spotted this in the library. Started reading it on the bus home. Love it! I immediately ordered my own copy. The text is wonderful. Lots of Duffy’s sharp, critical criticism. Most of that text is taken from the film “The Man Who Shot The Sixties” which you’ll find on YouTube.

I love books on photography and this one is a classic...stunning pictures and very classy.

Excellent Book. Great photographs including advertising, fashion, portraits, and album covers.

My advice is always for only to look at photos taken by the very best. Brian Duffy is the absolute finest. Buy the book.

Superb

I've been meaning to write a review about 'Duffy', the book, since I received it, which was about 18 months ago! Quite simply this is one of the nicest book of photographs I have, it maybe the best? Duffy was so brilliant - he had the talent to make the difficult look easy - but then his commercial photography was on another level again and often left me amazed at how he achieved what he did! And this was all pre-digital too which just adds to the brilliance of what you see. It really is a master class in great photography and a book you will take off the shelf again and again.

Saw the Bowie exhibit in Madrid and I had to have this. What a great eye Duffy had!

Excellent livre d'un grand photographe anglais méconnu, qui a pourtant photographié la plupart des grandes stars de la musique des années 60 et 70. Beaucoup de ses photos sont très connues, et on été très publiées à ces époques, ce livre en fait la synthèse. Excellent!

This book is the first book printed on the work of Brian Duffy, and as such it has great importance. His photographs reflect the 1960's with an artist eye, on the fashion and personalities of the period. The advertising images are great fun. A great book for reference of the 1960's.
