Tons Of Information, Well Written, & Drool-Inspiring!
It's rare for me to get so into a cookbook, but this was so enjoyable, easy to read, and truly interesting. Most cookbooks I simply flip through in order to get new ideas and modify my own recipes, but this book actually taught me a lot of things I didn't know before reading it. This book has a wealth of knowledge about chocolate making -- different types of ingredients, where to find them and how to use them, equipment you will need and substitutions you can use, etc. The pictures are stunning and drool-inspiring. If you're curious about chocolate making or looking to begin making your own, this book is where to begin.

Its all on the net for free, don't buy
It was very disappointing. Few recipes. Nothing I haven't known for some time. If you have a book on the topic, chances are good that it already covers everything you will find here. I have checked, and all of it can be found on the net for free.

Mmmm Chocolate
I was told this is one of the only books to show you how to easily make your own chocolate from raw ingredients. I didn't really believe it, but on having a look online, it's true, there is very little information on actually making your own chocolate. There's plenty of books and websites on how to melt chocolate to make new shapes but that's not this book's main selling point. The book starts out with info on chocolate, then has the main recipes on how to make dark, milk and white chocolate basics.I volunteered and got involved with a facebook group to test out the recipes. I am normally someone who avoids spending too much time in the kitchen, but I soon got addicted. The ver first time I tried following the first recipe I didn't have a clue and didn't have half the proper tools for the job. I had no idea whether I was doing things correctly as I didn't know how the ingredients would react. Then I had to do it again and again and again as I wanted to get better. My colleagues like my new hobby as there I make far too much chocolate for me to eat. They always asked what liqueur I used, but it's just honey. There are also recipes for the insides. My particular favourites are peppermint creams and the clotted cream mousse. Sometimes I'll make my own chocolate for the outside and sometimes I'll melt a cooking chocolate to make things easier. None of the recipes have loads of ingredients. They are really simple. I do advise on reading the recipe thoroughly beforehand, especially whether to use teaspoons or tablespoons. One recipe said up to 6 teaspoons of honey. I used 4 tablespoons!!!There is a lot more info and help in the book such as troubleshooting, alternatives to recipes, what ingredients and moulds to use.As a whole book, this one seems to cover everything you need to know about making chocolate (and a note on how to best enjoy chocolate) Be warned, it's addictive. I am awaiting more moulds so I can make even more chocolates.

Chocoholics must buy
How have I lived without this great book. I have always loved chocolate..who doesn't? But this has taken it to a whole different level. Easy to follw instructions, hints on how to recue or re use, suggestions using everyday items in kitchen. A great book to learn this fab art. Lots of easy to follow recipies and ideas for flavours. Vegans catered for too. If you have ever wanted to have a go yourself do not hesitate. I am hooked.

A little lacking
Doesn't give any information about actually making chocolate from bean to bar - only mixing it from cocoa powder. This also seems to be written by a very casual chocolate maker (or someone who has done it a few times just to write the book) and the tempering advice is quite lacking. The book also has some page numbering mistakes. This book is ok for a casual read if you don't intend on making chocolate and the pictures and images make it visually quite nice.

Great Stuff for first timers
I'm not trying to make the world's best chocolate and I'm happy that I haven't made the world's best chocolate using this book. I thought I would do it with my children as something novel and fun to do and I achieved that, without this simple to follow book, I wouldn't have even considered it. Yes, I am sure there are some amazing books on chocolate making around but from a value for money point of view, I thought this was a winner. Thank goodness my Kindle can be wiped clean easily with a baby wipe or two.

Who doesn't love Chocolate.....!!
I heard about this book viaRosen's website and duly signed up on Facebook to be a chocolate Guinea pig and help, in some minor capacity, to test some of the recipes. I duly purchased a number of reasonably priced pieces equipment and assorted chocolate drops, pastes and essences I'd never heard of. My 10 year old daughter and I dutifully followed our recipes and after a few attempts managed to make some semi decent chocolate. We persevered and now are quite proficient at making some nice chocolate. I found this book easy and clear to follow. Very descriptive and quite easy to understand. I can thoroughly recommend this book to any first time wannabe chocolatiers. Download, buy and enjoy!!

Reading, salivating, imagining new chocolates
Practical introduction to home chocolate creation. An enjoyable read. I am a massive fan of sleek bitter chocolate but found the tips on making milk and white chocolate very helpful. Recommended.
