Got this for my girls over the summer to get them away from screens and it did the trick! The options are endless and they had so much fun making charms for their backpacks and bracelets.

Do you use regular markers for this? It did not come with instructions!!! How long do you bake them? And at what temperature??

First of all I bought this kit to do my kids handprints with acrylic paint. Well that didn’t work out at all as they must have been painted too thick as the paint dried and flaked after curing. Oh well. I did a few tests and you can use paint, however just make a very thin layer and it’ll dry just fine. I sealed the painted designs with gloss mod podge after they were completely dried. Markers work the best (permanent or kids washable) The images that came with the kit are…I don’t want to say useless, but if you’re only making earrings they’re fine. They shrink SO tiny, yes, even the largest images, that most are not usable even as a keychain or necklace. I used 3 entire pages so far for drawings that take up almost the whole page, cut out the design, and they shrink so incredibly small it’s difficult to see any real details. BUT I still am keeping it because the price is great and honestly making these little trinkets is pretty addictive. I don’t care about the instructions not coming with the kit, I printed them out from the item description and put them into the bag with everything else. Also the time it takes for a design to flatten out all the way in the oven is closer to 5 minutes.

Here are Directions from the internet for those who need directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place shrink art color-sided up on a cookie sheet covered with foil or special baking paper. Cook 1to3 minutes until the art shrinks and lays flat. Cook about 30 more seconds. Take the cookie sheet out of oven and let it cool a little before taking art work off of it.BE SURE to color on slightly rough side for best results! This kit is a bargain because you get pattern and non-pattern material to draw on! Some of my grandchildren like patterns; others prefer blank sheets to do their own design. The half-sheets are nice because then you can tell the children to use only half of the sheet. Larger sheets seem to result in a lot of wasted space because they only need 1/4 of the larger sheet for each design.NOTE: This kit contains a useful hole puncher and rings for jewelry production--an excellent bargain!! Do not buy kits with colored pencils or markers--use your own QUALITY markers and pencils for the best results.

Kids and adults of all ages will love this! So easy and cute! Bake for 1-2 mins at 329 F and voila , a really cute keychain or pair of earrings or just a cute little thing you made.

The kids really enjoyed making these, but a bunch of them were cracked and unusable due to the fact that it was shipped in a plastic bag instead of a box
