This is an excellent quality selection of various connectors: "connector assortment includes red, blue and yellow connectors that can be used on wire AWG from 22 to 10. Four connector types: butt connector, ring connector (stud size: #4, #8, #10, ¼’’), spade connector (male, female) and fork connector (stud size: #4, #8)" For the given AWG ratings, this set provides a comprehensive grouping of male/female and ring/fork connectors.The materials and construction are substantial and high quality. This uses a crimp method of attaching wires; strip the end of the wire, insert it into the end of the connector, within the appropriate space, and crimp the end, closing the metal 'trap' making a secure connection. For the intended gauge wires, this is adequate attachment.Even the storage/organizer case is well constructed. I like the dual clasps, which gives tactile feedback when closed. And the hinge is an actual hinge, with the top separate from the bottom of the case. This is a better quality hinge which will survive sustained repeated use.The connector set is exactly as described and depicted in the product details. If you do electrical connection, with relatively thin/fine wiring, you'll fully appreciate the quality and variety of this set. Attached are photos to show real images, with close-ups on some aspects mentioned in this review.This excellent assortment of connectors merits a solid 4.75 star rating, with a very high level recommendation.

I know that the solder ring connectors are all the rage these days, but you can't beat the convenience of these crimp connectors. Especially where you don't want to use a heat gun or open flame. The problem is that these are not waterproof except if you shrink tube the whole connectors. However, for indoor or low voltage stuff, these are great.The best thing about this product is the variety. It has all the connectors you want and some I didn't even know existed like the piggyback connector. They seem to crimp well with my cheapo wire crimper. The plastic insulation did hold up but it seemed to go white with the stress of crimping. It still held together, but for applications that may go under mechanical stress, you might want a better connector.The plastic box is great and organizes them nicely by wire gauge and type. However, one of the plastic clasps broke immediately. The other holds it closed well enough though.Overall, really happy with this set. For household applications, you can't beat the variety.

It was hard to find these locally. I tried three stores and none of them had what I was looking for. Any they did have were out of stock and were excessively priced. I was fortunate to be able to find these on here for a fair review. So as far as that goes this kit is a very fair price. I like all the different types of connections within. These connectors took some practice to get fastened. I have two different crimpers I tried for insulated connectors. I found that either it was a challenge to get crimped enough or that it could be too much. Just because of the pvc insulation. It seems too rigid. It tends to break apart If you put slightly more force than you need to crimp. Other wise it does make a tight connection. Also the metals used have a real low resistance. I was getting readings of less than 1/10th of an ohm to zero so that is advantageous. In my opinion these are good connectors but with bad insulation. Will just heat shrink in place of insulation if need be.

This is a great kit, there is every combination available. It even comes with Bullet connectors which a lot of kits I saw do not come with.Each piece comes in 3 different sizes to meet all your Wire Gauge NeedsCrimping is really nice to and seems to hold the crimp well. Be careful with the jackets though. As with almost all of these kits, the colored jackets come off until you crimp.The only flaw I saw it actually the case. I know it doesn't need to be much, but unfortunately during shipping, one of the locking tabs was broken off.(see Photo) The case is a little flimsier than I would prefer, but it works.I would defiantly get another kit like this

I tried 2 different ratchet crimp tools and could not get reliable results with either. Both worked flawlessly with older red crimp connectors I had. I started and stopped testing with the red connectors because I could not get either 22ga or 16ga wire to solidly crimp even half the time.I measured the ring connectors and the red and blue were .5mm thick while the yellow were .65mm. The older red connectors I tested were obviously thicker at .75mm. (see picture) I ended up ordering a different brand. I would rather have fewer reliable connectors than a bunch of useless ones!Not recommended!
