Tough game bc of ds pen
I like the game a lot but was a little disappointed with all the ds pen play. Other than that I like it. 👍

Surprisingly enjoyable
I bought "PoP: the Forgotten Sands" DS version for $11.99 just for the sake of my Prince of Persia games collection and didn't expect too much fun from it. To my surprise, I found this game very enjoyable.Graphics are very pretty for a DS game. The music also is very nice, and helps you to get in the mood of Prince of Persia world. The story is even simpler than the previous DS installment (PoP: the Fallen King) but a Prince of Persia game doesn't need an involving story to be entertaining. The level design is so good that you will get lots of fun just from platforming and simple puzzle solving. And that's what a real Prince of Persia game is all about. There are only two things I don't like about this game. First, the stylus based controls. They are funny, but only as long as they are responsible. And sometimes they aren't, which is frustrating. Second thing is the length of the game. Even if you play it for about 30 minutes per day, it finishes too soon.Don't get fooled by the title. It isn't just a cheaper and shorter version of the HD edition. It is a totally different adventure and a very enjoyable addition to the series.

Good game for my 6 year old son
I played Prince of Persia when I was a kid. Now it is my son's turn. So far this is one of his favorite DS games. It takes a little time to get used to do everything with the stylus but you can doit after a while. All dialogues are in writting so the kid needs to read so he can play by himself.

exciting but not the movie!!!
right after i saw prince of persia with the kids, we went purchased this DS game. it has excellent packaging. the disc easily slipped into the DSi XL slot with no problems. the game is easy to pull up. an old man like me and my young son have both pretty quickly learned how to play the game. i understand that many parents are tempted to use video games as, well, babysitters. the games can be a lot more educational and skill developing and help in developing positive social skills when a parent plays the game with children. i always encourage that. this video is very action packed. it's very fun for me and the kids. the other reviewer was right, i think that the graphics on the game might have been a bit better. the movie had tremendous special effects and backgrounds that this game doesn't match. nevertheless, in my opinion, i give it a "B+". i highly recommend this game for folks who, especially, have seen the movie, liked it, and enjoy gaming.
