Lasts for YEARS w/o refrigeration & SUPER-concentrated
I bought this Nov. of 2012, opened it, used it for a little while then stuck it up in the cupboard of my RV and forgot all about it. I found it a couple weeks ago. I was astounded to find it's still fresh, tastes just fine, and I'm eating it with no ill effects whatsoever (amazing considering it's about 120 degrees in the motorhome for many months of the year). I bought it when I was on an ultra-low-fat diet, and since I'm returning to it (sadly, the Paleo diet hasn't worked for me), I was most happy to reacquaint myself with this marvelous product. BTW, for anyone who might be interested, prior to buying the PB2 I got the book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease: The Revolutionary, Scientifically Proven, Nutrition-Based Cure , by Dr. Esselstyn, which eliminates nearly ALL fat from the diet, along with processed foods. The book is fascinating, based on his work with people dying of heart disease, at death's door. Although it was, will be cheating a tiny bit to incorporate the PB2, I plan to shave a few fat calories elsewhere. This diet worked spectacularly well for me, I lost 30 pounds in a matter of months, like 10 lbs a month, felt better and my blood pressure and bad cholesterol went down. But over the last couple of years I've... slipped, gained back a few pounds. I read up on the Paleo diet, and since I love meat, eggs, etc. I gave it a try. As I said, it simply doesn't work for me, perhaps it's my genotype. I've determined that I simply can't mix carbs and fats, one or the other has to go (and since fat has more than twice the calories of carbs, and since I need to shed pounds, it's a no-brainer as to which). When on the Esselstyn diet, I added very small amounts of ground turkey breast (e.g., to vegetarian chili, to make tacos, etc.), used Kraft fat-free cheese too, and nonfat Greek yoghurt, especially the plain as a sour cream substitute (I love it, actually prefer it to sour cream, use it as a veggie dip too). These technically aren't permitted any more than the PB2, but the diet worked anyway as long as I didn't go overboard. Anyway, the PB2 is like peanut butter on steroids- super-concentrated flavor (of course it would be, with all the liquids removed). What I mainly wanted to say is that I don't bother to mix it with water. I spread "no sugar added" jam (such as Smucker's Simply Fruit), something decadent yet healthy (organic would be better, of course), on good bread (such as Dave's), then sprinkle the PB2 lightly over the jam. Amazing how little is needed- the flavor is so concentrated and rich a little goes a long way. I use maybe a level tablespoon or so. Tastes great, and at least to me just like a normal PB&J. I'm sure there are other things that could be done with it, like sprinkling it on Greek nonfat yoghurt, regular or frozen. All the satisfying taste of peanut butter (even MORE), without all the fat! This stuff ROCKS!

★ SNACKIN' FUN AND NOT CALORIE DENSE ★
I Love All Nut Butters. Almond Butter, Cashew Butter. Sunflower Seed Butter and Peanut Butter. Ok, Out Of All Those. Almonds Are Actually The Only Real Nuts. But, You Get The Picture. The Problem is That Most of These Butters are High Fat and About 190 Calories For Two Tablespoons. I Never Buy Peanut Butter, Because It Hurts My Stomach. I Don't Know Why. I'm Allergic to a Lot of Foods and Chemicals, But I've been Tested and I'm Not Allergic to Peanuts. It May Be The High Fat Content. I Don't Know. I Do Know That I Can Safely Eat Other Nut Butters With No Problems and I Can Eat All I Want of Powdered Peanut Butter With No Problems. This Stuff is Pretty Crappy Mixed With Water, But YUMMY Mixed With a little Cashew Milk (My Favorite to Mix it With) or Almond, Coconut Milk, Soy Milk or Even Cow's Milk. I LOVE Mixing It Up and Dipping My Apple Slices Into It. Sometimes, I'll Mix Up a Little Pile of the Regular and a Little Pile of the Chocolate on a Dessert Plate With a Sliced Apple and That's My Favorite Snack To Have In Front of The TV. LOVE IT. There Are Several Different Brands of Powdered Peanut Butter on the Market Now. I Know, Because I Think I've Probably Tried Most Of Them. One Brand I Accidentally Bought had a "Vanilla" Flavor. OMG!!! That Was HORRID. YUCK!!!!! I Saw It On Sale at the Health Food Store, So I Picked It Up. UGH!!! I Won't make That Mistake Again. I'm Going To Be Perfectly Honest Here. I Go To Sam's and Buy the 30 Ounce Gigantic Size of Their Container of Powered Peanut Butter for $9.98, I Use That In My Smoothies and Cookies I Bake. Everything Else, I Use This brand. This is All I Use For My Snacking. But, Truth Be Told, in Cookies and Smoothies, You Can't Really Tell The Difference. So, I Use The Cheaper Stuff, To Stretch the Budget. Another of My Favorite Snacks (While I'm Watching TV) is To Take a Banana and Cut it Into Chunks. Then Put Toothpicks Into Each Chunk and Slightly Freeze. Then Put On a Small Plate With a Pile of Prepared PB2 Peanut Butter. It's YUMMY!!! One Night I Made Up My Little Dessert Plate of Banana Chunks, Put the Toothpicks in and Froze the Banana Chunks. But, I Froze Them a Little Too long. So, I Thought, "I'll Just Let My Bananas Sit on the Counter a Few Minutes and Thaw a Little, Before I Eat Them" I Watched a Little TV and Then I Figured They Should be Just About Ready. I Went in and Didn't See The Plate. "Hey, Where's My Banana's and Peanut Butter?" My Sister Said, "Buuuurp!!!!" "Oh No!!!!!" Lesson Learned. Here's Another Great Snack and You Can Use Either Flavor, But the Chocolate Peanut Butter is the Best. Take a Paper Bag. It Has To Be Paper. It Can Be a Paper Lunch Bag or One of Those Paper Freezer Bags You Pick Up Free at Wal-Mart in the Freezer Section, but it needs to be Paper. I Usually Do a Pound of Raw Unsalted Almonds, but You Can Do Less Just Use a Little Less Oil and Powdered Peanut Butter. Place the Almonds Onto a Cookie Sheet and Roast For 5 minutes at 350 Degrees. Let Cool Then Put Your Almonds in the Paper Bag and Add 1 Tablespoon of Melted Coconut oil (Or Any Oil) Shake the Bag Vigorously and Add 2 Tablespoons of The Powdered Peanut Butter (Remember The Chocolate is the Yummiest) Shake the Bag Again, Until Well Coated (Add More PB2 if Needed). Spread Out On the Cookie Sheet, Lower Oven Temperature To 325 Degrees and Roast For 5 to 7 Minutes. Let cool and Enjoy. I Keep the Leftovers in an Airtight Glass Jar, But They Don't Usually Last long at my Place and I Like Putting Them on my Air Popped Popcorn, For Some Flavor. This is Another Snack I Have To Make Plenty Of, Because While My Sister NEVER Touches my Health Food (Which She Refers To as Dog Biscuits and Bird Food) She Loves the Chocolate Peanut Butter Almonds. Thank You For Reading and I'm Always Available To Answer Questions..

Found this product by accident. It's not bad, obviously it doesn't taste exactly like peanut butter (it's very obviously not peanut butter so don't believe any marketing that would say otherwise), but the peanut flavor is there if not a little bit artificial tasting. It says to use two scoops, which I find makes a bit too much peanut butter, check attached image. If you use two scoops every time you'll get about 14 servings out of this, or you could do like I do and use just one and you'll get 28 servings which is much better for the price. It's not great on its own like peanut butter is, but I use it with fruit and it's alright. It's very good and smoothies and I think that's where it shines most, so if you're getting this for anything, I'd get it to put in smoothies. Considering one scoop is 30 calories instead of about 100 for normal peanut butter, I'm happy to have this alternative!

Amazing product. Great, easy to use, great amount of protein. I’ve used it powder form and added to my shakes for added protein and also mixed with water and drizzled over pancakes, fruit etc. Good shelf life, smooth in texture and decent size.

Totally surprised that it tastes so good just like your regular peanut butter but without the fats! Guiltless eating with all the goodness.

A good substitute for regular PB which is nearly triple the calories for 2 tablespoons. Very versatile and can be spread on your toast, mixed with protein shakes or added in your anabolic ice cream.
