Brilliant, once you know how to separate the two elements
Firstly a key bit of info that for the life of me I couldnt find - DO NOT OPEN FROM THE BOTTOM, there are three places at the top to insert a screwdriver to separate the back from the front of this cowl vent. Only close it how its illustrated in the instructions.Secondly, if you are looking for an extractor fan vent YOU NEED 125mm. I ended up buying and sending back wrong ones until I found the right size. Unfortunately it wasnt easy to measure and as I found taking the old one off - it just disintegrates so it was imperative i had the new one.Other than that, really great vent - looks the business (think shiny finish over matt) and sits flush against the wall as it has a spongy material on the back that fills up any holes. Note also this is not a small cowl vent, its a lot bigger than the original but much much better airflow.Only option would be to have a finer filter to stop bugs getting in which you could add if you wanted.Has stopped all air noise from outside for the extractor fan since fitting this - and the breeze that used to come through!Highly recommended and a UK company too :)

Look good but not quite perfect…plus update.
Nice and shiny but looks aren’t everything. It does a job but still allows some air to enter when windy which comes out of the cooker hood in our kitchen. Should have looked for one with integrated baffles, if it exists. I have purchased a couple of different internal baffles to try but they look pretty cheap and nasty by comparison with this item. Thanks to other reviewers who gave a clue as to how to remove the front without breaking clips. Gently apply some pressure was the key.18thFeb. Storm Eunice just whipped the cover off the wall and sent it up the street. It’s now well and truly scratched so not so pretty and shiny. Manufacturer Might need to think of something extra to hold it in place like a screw or something.

Looks modern and tidy
Looks so much better than the cover the kitchen fitters installed it has reduced the draught and even better, no annoying rattle, that you get from the flappy style covers

Air Vent with baffle
Looks very good . Has definitely stop the noise level . Bit tricky to fit the front on , but got there in the end . Good value for money & does the job it says .

Great looking
Great looking product and very easy to install.

Tad expensive
Expensive for what it is.Side winds cause bad drafts so had to add in an extra part to diminish but overall it does work depending on prevalent direction of wind.

Wind noise baffle
Product is very good looking and the amount of wind noise is drastically reduced as before I had three flaps which kept on rattling even with very little wind. The only thing I feel is that it is quite expensive for what it is, but maybe you get what you pay for as I am much happier with this.

Excellent fixed a cold bathroom
After house renovation electrician had fitted a Basic open vent cover for the extractor fan in the bathroom, due to the location of the vent it was taking the brunt of most wind which was causing the bathroom which the extractor fan is to always be incredibly cold due to the constant draft, this cover has stopped all drafts and the room is retaining the heat and staying warm.Installation was easy, just four screws. The product come with all necessary fixings for the brickwork and has a foam back which creates a nice tight seal between the brick and the vent covers surround, well worth the money
