Nalgene Multi-Drink Replacement Lid, Grey

I had a 20oz Nalgene bottle that had one of these caps. I dropped it while on vacation and the cap broke. I was uncertain if these replacement caps were an exact match, but they are.Some reviewers complain that the cap leaks - I admit that the sealing mechanism seems like it would be unreliable, but it didn't give me any problems until I dropped it. As for the straw, I didn't expect it came with one and I reused the straw I had.

Does not come with the straw. I love that it has a valve so I can drink easier without making a mess. Will be ordering more for my other Nalgene bottles. Can't beat the price!!

The Multi-Drink cap affords both "gulping" from a close to standard diameter (28mm) strapped retained bottle cap, and sipping from a pivoting spigot that can be locked closed. That spigot leads to an internal nipple that accepts a vinyl/silicone straw of the right diameter. However, the cap ships without a mating straw. Now my intention for this Multi-Drink cap was to team it up with a RapidPure water filter "straw". The silicone tubing/straw that fits to their RapidPure filter (which is the top section of their "in-line" filter) turns out to be a perfect fit to slide onto the Multi-Drink Cap spigot nipple. Cutting this RapidPure hose/straw to length and attaching the RapidPure/Straw to the Multi-Drink cap creates a "traveller's water filter bottle" from any Nalgene wide mouth bottle. Note that this "hack" only affords filtration when using the pivoting spigot - I'd plug the "gulp" port with an earplug to insure no one accidentally "gulps" unfiltered water if you try this. Finally, the spigot doesn't provide either the natural approach to straw-use, nor the volume of liquid you'd expect to draw. Sucking from the spigot is a bit awkward and slow, but works. The gulp port provides similar volume as if drinking from a typical 500mL store-bought plastic bottle, and the keeper strap is easily moved so it doesn't get in the way. The seals of the cap, the gulp port, and the spigot seem good. However, the spigot path can retain liquid when turned and locked, then "spit" a bit when unlocked to drink. Not a big deal.

Decided I wanted a straw cap for my Nalgene, this looked cool and i figured I would order here instead of from Nalgene direct. SO this listing does not come with a straw! Its also a weird size so none of the available replacements on amazon will fit. No fast-food straws fit. I ended up using a stainless steel straw with a silicone tip cover that happened to fit. I already had it so I cant help everyone else in the reviews.It does leak if you use the chug cap. Its not water tight like the original lid. So every time you tip to drink it will let water into the treads to leak down the sides. SKIP THIS LID.

I didn't think the no straw part would bother me because I had extra straws from other nalgene products- they don't work with this lid. It would be nice to have a straw come with it that does work.The leaking is annoying, I expect better from nalgene products.

Silly me for assuming it would, but now I get to a) buy straws for it and hope they fit or b) return this and buy a lid that comes with them.Think I'll go with B.Which is a shame, because aside from the missing straw I really like this lid and the ability to not use it should I choose.Oh well.EDIT: as it turns out, because the straw mouthpiece just goes from side to side and can't tilt up, it's really awkward. Back it goes.EDIT EDIT: While I did, in fact, process a return, they said I didn't need to actually give it back so....A few additional thoughts....if you don't get a straw for it, make sure the bottle doesn't fall over or get stored on its side. that empty hole is a great way for water to leak.While nalgenes themselves are pretty indestructible, these lids are...not. Bottle slipped out of my hand from about waist-height, bottom hit the ground, but then it bounced and the lid took a hit. Now its cracked and useless. Kind of disappointed in that. If I'd dropped it on its lid in the first place, that'd be one thing, but breaking on the bounce is a bit different.Decent product, but room for improvement.

This cap is very versatile. The straw is great for sipping while laying down. The small drinking hole is great to avoid spilling while sipping. And the straw can be opened for greater flow through the drinking hole. I haven’t had any leaks from this even drinking upside down.

D'une durée de vie très longue. Celui qu'il remplace avait été acheté en Espagne en 2014 pour remplacer le couvercle initial qu'on n'aimait pas ! Il a été brisé par accident (tombé d'un étage) sinon il aurait pu faire encore un bon moment. Excellent achat qui vaut plus que son coût et qui se trouve partout.

Produto original e encaixe perfeito com a garrafa Nalgene de 32oz wide mouth. Não vem com canudinho.

Muy buena la refacción para el cilindro! Ajuste perfecto y eso renueva mi cilindro, muy bien que vendan estos accesorios y refacciones!

Fits both Tritan and Stainless Steel wide mouth water bottles.

Product came as described and good for use to date. Better if the drinking straw can be provided.
