Dux, Quick Dry Gilding Size, Oil-Based, Clear, Pint (16 oz), DQ/P

I use this for furniture, picture frames, bathroom cabinets and, most recently, the ceiling above a staircase. Oil base stands up to traffic and becomes nice and flat for gilding. This is a "quick dry" formula. It gives you about three hours to work when you are applying your silver or gold metal leaf. If you need more time there is another version of this that gives you up to 8 hours. A little will go a long way. I prefer oil based to water based for projects that will get a lot of wear and tear. it provides a tough, durable finish with a nice metal look.

I use the Dux Size for gold leafing. The product holds up well. It was packaged well inside plastic bag with bubble wrap.

Way overpriced, scalpers pricing. Quality is OK but I had to modify it with linseed oil for correct tack time.

okay to be honest I have a love hate relationship with the DUX Quick Dry Oil-Based Gilding Size.Pros:1. I love the way the product works.2. I love the finish that the Size provides3. Easier to clean up vs. water based size4. Easy to use5. Size can be tinted6. a little goes a long way7. works wellCons:1. Expensive2. Hard to find3. Shipping takes a long time4. Shipping can be very expensive5. Zero Directions for use on canI like the product, but I hate that I can not find it, takes forever to come in and that it is as expensive as it is. It does work well. I recommend to anyone that has the time to wait for the product to come in.

Was just what I was looking for, worked perfect for gold leafing the chrome plated exterior parts of my car. Alot of people either have it blacked out with paint, wrapped with vinyl but not leafed with 24k gold leaf.

Delivery was quick . seemed a bit expensive but it works awesome for gilding under clearcoats for customizing motorcycles
