I can't comment on this as compared with other activated charcoal products, being the only one I have ever tried. I do know it's a good value for the price and has lasted for 4 months while serving multiple purposes.1. I've used it to dye frosting, cake, coconut, and chocolate. It was tasteless and did not require much to get a dark tint. Great alternative to artificial food colouring.2. Odd side benefit, this helps with food sensitivities. After eating garlic and red wine (having decided I would rather deal with the terrible headache later rather than insult my dinner host) I noticed no ill effect. I wondered if this was because of the black tinted cake I'd had immediately afterward, due to charcoal's detox benefits. So a few days later I tested it, having a similar meal followed by a level teaspoon of charcoal... no headache.3. I had heard this could whiten teeth, to which I was skeptical... but just a bit of powder on the toothbrush did seem to brighten my teeth for the rest of the day. Not what I bought it for, but a nice extra benefit.

Not gritty. I was able to compare this to the last batch I ordered from quality company. And this was much finer grind; making it smoother to drink

purchased to clean/detox once per week and i am happy with that. i usually do it once a week on wednesday. i do it right before bed as it removes good and bad stuff from your body. i give my body chance to absorb the things i might need first. i also use it to brush my teeth. it leaves them feeling very clean and refreshed. i have not used it yet for cooking. may update later when i do.

I don't drink this stuff but I do use it in my cold process soap recipes for a very masculine "detox" bar and a moisturizing salt bar. For this purpose it's terrific and produces a lovely and striking black colored bar.

I got it on sale. IT will last forever!

Good product! I use it in my CP soap and it makes my skin squeaky clean. No problems so far. Makes my soap nice and black.
