Awesome product! Fast, easy and compacted!
I'm a teacher and I laminate many activities for my students. Not only does it look nice but they actually last longer! This small cold press laminator is great for small things! It can hold 5 inch or up to 9 inch items in width depending ingredients on what size cartridge you install. The cartridges are fairly priced as well. Those heat laminator that you have to feel the pouches takes too much time. With this laminator, all you do it insert your paper and turn the crank and watch it come out the other side - laminated. Then cut it off! I love it! So small and compacted easy to put away and take out. Does what it is intended to do!

Flat out the worst product I've ever bought
Objective review: The ezLaminator fails at every level. The rolls are not aligned properly in the cartridge, causing a litany of issues, and cannot be adjusted. One of the problems the cartridge causes is huge ripples and folds. I had to expend over two feet of laminate from both rolls before the ripples flattened out, and then they just came back after another 6 inches. Another issue with the cartridge is the teeth that your material must slide under. If you are working with anything delicate like I am, these teeth scratch the surface, causing irreversible damage. That's a major problem, because lamination is one of the final steps in many projects. Prepare to lose all of your hardwork because of this tool. The laminate itself provided with this tool is no good. It is highly defective, containing huge bubbles and the adhesive had already begun to cure inside those bubbles long before I even received the product. This means those bubbles are permanent - they cannot be smoothed out. Another reviewer had mentioned that the bubbles would go away after a while, but even after 24 hours they are still here for me. It's more than just a bubble, because there's a white ring in each one - that's cured adhesive. It also seems they either gave me the wrong cartridge or listed the incorrect thickness. It's advertised as 3mil, but this is actually more like 10mil. I have actual 3mil sheets and they are significantly thinner than these. As for the tool itself, the only problem is the attached sliding blade. The blade isn't actually long enough to cut even just the laminate on its own, and it also doesn't index far enough to cut the entire length of the platform. Basically, if your material is not centered and shorter than 10 inches, then the laminate will not cover the entire thing AND the blade won't cut it off completely, making the guides on the sides of the platform completely meaningless and indeed more of a hazard, because using either of them will 100% of the time result in failure. Subjective review: It's not uncommon that when you buy something strange like this on the internet, it might not work. There's always a gamble, and I lost this one. You really can't use this thing to laminate anything. Instead of a "laminator", it should really be called a "project destroyer". The only use for this is to absolutely wreck whatever you're making. So I guess if you're trying to make ugly, useless junk, then this is the right tool for you!

Worked great the very first time
I searched youtube for a demo video and found a 2 min demo. Followed the instructions and the very first photo I laminated came out perfect. Very little wast of product. Easy to trim.

I thought I love it the first time I used it
It is not what I thought it would be. I thought I love it the first time I used it, but then the second time I was cranking the handle and nothing moved... I had to push and pull the papers, which is silly... I still like my thermal laminator better even though it is slow. I am returning this thing, I know I already used the lamination film, but I hope I can get a partial refund.

Works great. Thin and flexible weight that I like for certain projects. If you are intending to use it to laminate workbook pages etc for your kids to use over and over again, Dry erase markers do NOT work as well on the plastic as I'd like. 3-ring-punched Plastic sleeves (bought at any office supply store) do a better job for that. Still, I have found MANY reasons to use this machine and I like it. I have had problems with wrinkles from time to time, and as another reviewer suggested, running a piece of card stock paper through it really does straighten it right out again. Overall, I think is was well worth the price.

Gets the Job Done Without Heat or Electricity...
I was quite pleased with the concept of a laminator that needs no heat, no electricity, and no batteries to do the laminating. I also was pleased with the quality of the operating instructions. While they aren't perfect, they are pretty good, clear, and include photographs. What disappointed me was my inability to get my photographs inserted and aligned, AND keep all of the photo within the laminating plastic. Therefore, I have to cut all four sides with scissors to get it done right. So, if you MUST avoid using a hot laminator to laminate, by all means, the Xyron Ezlaminator will get the job done, with a little extra effort. However, IF you CAN use a heating laminator, I seriously recommend you do so. Bottom Line Three stars out of five.
