Small & nifty but does the job.
I can’t drill a perpendicular hole for love nor money. However now with this tool, holes are perfectly square and it is so convenient. I wouldn’t be without it now.

Simple. Effective.Quality
Very handy to have for ad-hoc drilling. Holes in 30mm wood plank came out near enough the same position on other surface.. Chunky (I suppose they need to be to give you a decent guide depth ) so some drill bits need to be at the end of the chuck. Not sure why some people find masonry bits tricky although slightly inconvenient to switch bits. (I usually start small for accuracy and then use larger bits according to size needed ) (Edit: OK I found some bits that the drill flutes protrude & extend far enough up the shank to mean you have to use a larger hole which is not ideal. One star trimmed!)

does what it it's designed for
I've red some of the reviews here - especially the bad ones prior the purchase. I feel for other users and their frustration when things don't work. So I was sceptic at first but needed something small to guide wood drill bits in straight line so gave it a try. First of all, things like these aren't meant to be super-precise but super handy, easy to use and at a fraction of the cost of proper tool like press drill in this case. And that's exactly what it does! Steel inserts are just right and snug fit for each drill bit size. Bottom is a bit recessed so the debris easily flows out of the hole and provides just enough room for masonry drill bit diamond tip. But here you have to feed the drill bit through the block first and only then attach to the drill so it's a bit fiddly. Pictures on the packaging and on the Amazon aren't really self-explanatory in this case. Maybe that's why others complained. Other drill bits (wood,HSS) will work normally. This one definitely earned it's place in my tool box.

Handy well build tool
Handy drill guide, it helps getting the holes straighter and more centered. Can do 45° but haven't tested it. I have used it quite a lot, I would think more than 200 holes, and it is still perfect. Looks it's a solit build that willlast. I recommend it

Wavy edges suck.
It could be a great tool. The drill guides are well sized and work fine. BUT..... They gave it cool and stylish wavy edges. Sighs. This means that you can't use it as a reference. A straight edge would mean all your hole centres at a fixed distance; making it easy to but up to a guide and drill a row of holes. A 3mm guide would also be so handy for piloting woodscrews.

generic drilling block - does the job.
Effective drilling block for keeping holes relatively square to the surface. Includes 6 bush sizes for Ø4mm to Ø12mm drill bits in increments of 2mm, so good for most dowel sizes etc. There are a few of these on the market that look almost identical, so I suspect it's the same item with different branding. As others have commented it might have been better to have one long straight side to help alignment but it's still very useable.

Very nice little workshop aid
Used during furniture making and kitchen fitting. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Very handy if you've already glued up whatever you're making and realise you need a hole or two (especially near edges) that you need to be clean and and that you would've done on the drill press if it wasn't already too late. Usage tip: especially in softwoods if you want a clean entry hole start drilling gently WITHOUT the guide and drill out a couple of mm deep, then stick the drill in the guide to complete the hole. Much more accurate and less prone to surface tearout. My only complaint is that, because I have this and being a bit of a pointless perfectionist, I tend to reach for it whereas before I would've eyeballed and rarely had any problems.

Love it, it’s super easy to drill straight holes

This is a very nice little gadget, always useful to have it around. It helps drilling perpendicular holes. It cannot replace a drill press or othe high accuracy tools, but it is ideal for quick drillings. I see some negative comments that masonry drill bits do not fit the holes, but those people most probably are not using the tool right. Masonry drill bits have a flattened head, this is why you first need to pass the drill bit from the bottom of the tool and then mount it on the drill chuck. 5 stars from me
