Just like the original one from years ago.
I still have the Black & White, and a Blue & White original ones from years before (one for home, and one for the suitcase). And they still work now. Two years ago (Feb 2014) I wanted another one to keep in our RV and I found a Red & White one from a different seller here on Amazon and purchased it. I think it had been stored in extreme heat before I received it because it was a very hard plastic and not flexible like my others and when I used it for the first time it cracked in two it was so brittle. I took the hit because I had waited too long to actually use it (past 30 days), and I was not anywhere where I could actually send it back (dry camping). I was pretty disappointed to say the least. When I saw this one and read the reviews, I immediately ordered one. It is strong and flexible just like the original ones. I am so happy these are being manufactured again. And I actually use the little knife that comes with it, for my butter dish. Thank you, J&B.

I Needed This! Works Great!!
Really nice jar opener for 4 sizes of jar lids (there are 2 on top & 2 on underside) for regular mayo & canning jar size lids on down to ketchup bottle size. It is an easy squeeze and gentle turn to open lids. Great for older folks & arthritis. It is nice looking and not too big to keep in my silverware drawer. The matching butter knife is a nice little extra. I have actually been using it more than the jar opener! I don't use butter, but it is great for spreading home made guacamole or hummus on toast and crackers. It works great for spreading mayo, too! This is the best squeeze & turn style plastic & rubber jar opener on Amazon! Please note: this opener will not work for jar lids that are larger than regular lid size because it does not open out. It is not designed for anything larger. You will need a hinged metal opener that opens out for the larger lids like this excellent one on Amazon which I also bought especially for that purpose - Leifheit Extra Wide Stainless Steel Jar Opener, Black and Silver Irregardless, I love my Eat Chill Play jar opener & butter knife!

Great product
I really like this opener. It is functional and quality made. At this point, I have used it several times, and each time, it was very effective in getting the lid removed. I like the fact, it securely grasps the lid, without scratching it up. Highly recommended.

Can't live without it - that's how important my Jar Opener is! I had bought two similar ones for my two homes several years ago and used them regularly. Even gave a couple or more to friends, who also found them indispensable. But then one broke (not sure what brand it was) but I thought I could just go out and buy a replacement. Wrong! They can't be found in stores, which amazes me because everyone should have one. So I ordered yours on-line and ironically almost missed a favorite dinner before it arrived when I could not open a big jar of sauerkraut. (By combining our strength and grips, my husband and I were finally able to get it open.) But then your opener arrived and the next time I was easily able to open an identical jar with it.I ordered two and right away "had" to give one away to a dear friend who I knew it would help a lot.The little butter knife is very nice, too! Didn't think I'd want it but already found it very useful.The opener works on about every size of lid and I highly recommend it to everyone!I

It didn't work.
The first time I tried to open a bottle (a prescription bottle with a 2-inch cap) it did not work. One side of the opener was too small, and the other side was too large. How disappointing, since my hands are very weak and I really need a device that will work. I will try again.

I ordered these as I had a wrist injury and thought they would help me open jars. So far I have not been able to fit them around any jar or bottle I have wanted open. I'll try again after my wrist is healed and update my review if I can use it.

This really works!
Wonderful product...worth every penny. This is the best jar opener I've ever used. With the size choices on it, I've never found a jar I couldn't easily open. After seeing mine, my daughter wanted one, so I'm including one in her Christmas gift.

Difficult for elderly and doesn’t work well
Purchased for my elderly mother, but it’s too unwieldy for her to use. It also doesn’t grip well on containers that are hard to open.
