Very nice for chopping veggies and meat
I bought this to shred meat that had already been cooked and taken off the bone. If you've ever watched a restaurant cook shred beef or pork, you've seen them use (usually two) cleavers almost exactly like this one.The job can be done with a standard cooks knife but this cleaver makes much quicker work of it.The sharpness as delivered. I am extremely choosy about a knife's edge, and some knives I regrind a bit before using. I did not feel the need to do that with this one. Just a few passes on a steel at a steep angle. But for everyone else it's the sharpest ever. I would absolutely use it to chop vegetables and just about anything else that doesn't have metal or bones in it. Upon close examination, I could see a few light grinding marks and feel a bit of a burr on one side, but only gave it a quick pass or two on a steel. This is a good weight. Not too heavy yet with enough weight to work nicely. It's inexpensive yet not "cheap."So it is now added to my formerly sparse collection of regularly used knives, only having 4 total though only one is used every day.

Sharp, easy to use and works well
I used the knife to peel apples, pears, and kiwi. I really like this knife. It easily slices grapes and cherry tomatoes. I would recommend it. However, the tiny plastic cover for the sharp blade βtipβ broke when I tried to use it. I still plan to keep the knife. I would have rated the knife 5 stars had the cover been consistent with the quality of the knife. I would have also paid more if the knife came with a better cover.

Presentation
I bought this knife together with a bread knife as gifts for a friend I was visiting with. I cannot attest yet to the sharpness of the knives. However, we were both blown away by the presentation. They each arrived in a beautiful black box with red liner inside and a drying cloth. They look to be of a good quality and very comfortable to hold.

If you don't have one of these, get it now!
Best small knife on the market. Had one years ago and lost it, and this one matches the other knives in the set. Razor sharp, so BE CAREFUL with it. Perfect for preparing fruits, pitting peaches, nectarines, etc. Slices through anything like butter. I was lost without mine, and I looked at some priced much higher but this one is amazing and well worth the price.

Pin in handle not flush with sharp edges
5 knife reviewUnder $30Fukep - 3.5" pairing knifeUnder $20Imarku - 3.5" pairing knifePaudin - 3.5" pairing knifeUnder $15Tuo Osprey - 3.5" pairing knifeTuo Falcon - 3.5" pairing knifeCompared to my Shun 3.5" pairing knifePaudin - End cap not flush with blade and had multiple metal burrs. Ordered it 2 times, both had the same end cap issue. One handle had split. Blade was heavy compared to handle and felt off balance. Sharp out of the box, but did not cut anything as it was Returned prior to cutting.Tuo Osprey - very large pairing knife. Felt awkward in the hand. Probably a personal preference, but was not for me. Sharp out of the box. Did not cut anything as it was Returned prior to cutting.Tuo Falcon - decent weight. Looked good. But the pins/ rivets in the handle were not flush with the wood. The edge of the rivet was sharp and made it uncomfortable / difficult to use. Sharp out of the box. Did not cut anything as it was Returned prior to cutting.Imarku - handle felt good, slightly heavier than the shun 85g compared to 62g. Blade length good, handle length is good. Sharp out of the box. Cut as easily as the shun. Time will tell how often this needs to be Sharpened.Fukep - looks great. All of my other knives have wood handles so the polymer is fun. Most comparable to the shun from a handle design. Good handle feel. Good weight 72g compared to 62g. Sharp out of the box, but had massive resistance during cutting. Almost felt like the blade had a scandi or convex grind. Aka, like trying to cut an apple in half with an axe. Returned.Overall. The Imarku blade was the best from a price/ performance standpoint.

Excellent knife
A very sharp knife, perfect for cutting steak as serated knives should not be used on steaks as they tear the fibres of the meat.
