Our family is planning a trip to Taiwan, and we were on the lookout for a comprehensive travel guide to help us make the most of our visit. The Lonely Planet Taiwan Travel Guide turned out to be an excellent choice.Pros:Detailed Itinerary Options: The book provides detailed itineraries tailored to the number of days you have, which is incredibly helpful for planning our trip efficiently.Extensive City Coverage: We appreciated the detailed information on major cities and their attractions. Even lesser-known spots received a brief mention, allowing us to easily find more details online.Useful Mandarin Phrases: The inclusion of conversational phrases in Mandarin Chinese at the back of the book is great. It'll come in handy for common interactions during our stay.Descriptive Content: The book is filled with well-written descriptions and vivid pictures of the destinations. It helped us decide on our itinerary.Pocket-size: I know this sounds weird, but I do appreciate how small it is (pocket-size), which makes it easier to travel with. Despite its size, it's packed with a lot of information.Cons:None to mention. While so smaller attractions had little information, it was still enough to research more details online.The Lonely Planet Taiwan Travel Guide has been an great resource for our upcoming family trip to Taiwan. It's packed with essential information, thoughtful itineraries, and practical language phrases. This guidebook has made our trip planning easier, and we're looking forward to using it during our visit.

Not used yet but fun to read as we can not travel

Außergewöhnlich schlecht für einen LP Guide. Viele Städte (wie z.B. Fangliao) kommen gar nicht vor, zu wenige Stadtpläne, relevante Infos wie z.B. der Hinweis, dass man zur Anmietung der U-Bikes eine taiwanesische Telefonnummer benötigt, fehlen ganz; Adressen wie z.B. die vom Giant Fahrradverleih in Hualien sind falsch. Und unlogisch aufgebaut ist das Ganze auch noch. Echt schwach.Hinweis für die HerausgeberInnen und NutzerInnen: seit Covid gibt es sehr viele Unterkünfte und Restaurants nicht mehr, die im Guide aufgelistet sind! Hier wird einem alte Info als neu verkauft. Ärgerlich.

Di base è una guida che si apprezza. Potrebbe essere un po' armoniosa e piacevole con qualche foto e immagine in più al suo interno. Pecca per questo aspetto. Informazioni corrette ovviamente ma a volte un po' troppo generiche, e carenti. Si potrebbe migliorare.Si può approfondire tramite ricerche suinternet partenndo dalla sua base.Comunque resta una delle guide migliori.
