A few hiccups but product is fine
Firstly I would like to say, it works and does its job perfectly. Now on the other bits.Product itself required an update when arrived, the part number is very important for the correct update. This is a message repeated multiple times on the safescan support page on their website. The update for my part number did not exist. Contacted Amazon by questioning which update should I use, if any from the two listed as my part number is not there. Got a generic reply of how to download. Contacted Safescan multiple times and was sent a direct link for the update 3 days later.Had to buy a EU to UK plug as none was provided.

How do I set the machine to check fake notes?
I think the machine is great but when I try and start checking fake notes it doesn’t tell me, unless I’m doing something wrong.What am I doing wrong?

I wouldn't recommend to buy anyone-buy UV LIGHT INSTEAD
I bought that product for my hair and beauty parlour to check money because we still excepting cash. It looked fine for 2weeks only. That machine doesn't work for new notes 5 and 10-pounds notes. Now it shows that so many notes faulted wich isn't true!. We cant trust that machine anymore... My STRONG RECOMMENDATION -BUY SIMPLE PENS OR UV LIGHT INSTEAD AND YOU WILL SAVE MONEY AND TIME.I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN THAT PRODUCT BACK IF it's POSSIBLE.

'Does what it says'
This product, is 'fit for purpose'. It is used in my partner's business. Thank you. The only negative thing is the price. I do think it is expensive for such a small gadget.

Does what it says, eventually. Not reliable enough to use at point of sale
The machine does detect fakes in Scottish and Northern Irish Bank notes after an update to the software. You do the software update yourself and it is fairly easy. The machine, though, is unusable at the point of sale as it gives to many errors when genuine notes are given.
