Great product for entry level audiophiles and competitive gamers
I am no expert on electronic equipment but I can confirm, that the product meets the described specifications and requirements. I am using these to power my DT 990 Pro’s and they are performing fine without any problem. At the highest level there is some noted sibilance but that’s something that is heard on certain tracks with the headphones and the amplifier does a great job of minimising or completely eliminating it. The amplifier greatly improved the overall performance and experience of using the headphones, bringing out all lows mids and highs and allowing to pick up every single piece of detail in songs. For playing games, this amp/dac along with the headphones provide an incredible experience, sound quality, attention to detail and enemy footsteps in multiplayer games. In terms of the unit itself, it’s extremely solid and surprising light as well, easy to use and switch between outputs and setting up is simply to do. Highly recommend this amp/dac to anyone, it performs well as an amp or dac at this price point and in terms of what it has to offer but as a combo it’s a steal. As noted by previous reviewers, the volume knob may feel a tiny bit loose but it’s doesn’t seem like a fault but how it was built, for me it’s perfectly fine. For anyone who may experience issues connecting it via USB to PC, make sure you follow the instructions and pressing the on/off button will switch outputs whereas holding it will turn the unit on/off. The volume knob presser will mute the sound. In summary, great product in terms of ease of use, build quality, functionality, very high price per performance ratio, market price and great for powering 250 ohm DT 990 Pro headphones. 10/10

Good value for the money.
I bought this to get better sound on my Sennheiser HD 598 headphones, than I get using the headphone output of my Marantz PM 6007 amplifier. My sound source is a Audiolab 6000 CD transport. I can say that the sound is different. There's more sparkling treble, without sounding harsh or tinny. The soundstage is wider, and just as deep, and the imaging is better. The mids are clean and clear, but perhaps lacking a little warmth. The bass is tight, punchy and well defined, but doesn't seem to dig very deep. This could be due to the headphones, although the bass sounds deeper from the Marantz; albeit somewhat boomy. I've not tried the USB input, but the Bluetooth works well. The sound from the RCA outputs is good, although not quite up to the standard of the DAC in the Marantz. My only real criticism, is that when first starting to play a CD, or other source, the sound fades in for about a second. This, of course, results in missing the beginning of the track. Other than that, I think this is a good little headphone amp/dac, and excellent value for money. I shall be using it to listen to CDs and music DVDs on headphones; although I may occasionally revert back to the Marantz for a warmer sound on some classical music. I've now had this unit for almost three months, and I've used it nearly every day. Either I've gotten accustomed to it's sound, or the unit has now 'burned-in'. It no longer sounds lacking in warmth, or bass. I've now got some HD 58X Jubilee headphones, mostly for rock music; and still use my HD 598 for most classical. Both headphones sound superb with the X6 Mk.2. Unlike some other reviewers, I really like the user interface, including the digital volume control with its small increments. If it wasn't for the slight fade-in issue, I would give this amp/dac 5 stars. As it is I'd give four and a half stars, if it were possible.

Fantastic addition to my living room setup, *CLEAN* audio
I needed a DAC with an optical input to connect my new TV to the active speakers I use in the living room, and this works brilliantly. I can now use this unit as a DAC / preamp for my active speakers or as a DAC / headphone amp and have multiple devices connected either through optical, coaxial, USB, AND Bluetooth.I always wanted a dedicated DAC headphone amp but never could justify the limited use it would get - this unit is really useful for my setup and the headphone amp is a bonus.Nice clear snaps between inputs via a single digital selector switch, volume knob is not the best feel - but at this price point perfectly acceptable. Whole unit feels solidly built with a nice brushed aluminium finish.GO GET ONE...

Good cheap amp
It’s a good basic entry level amp.Sounds good but a bit to “sharp” for me, it lacks in bass as well. The building quality is Ok at best, feels really cheap, but for the price it’s as good as it gets.A nice cheap entry level amp.Decent value for the price.

Random painfully loud hiss. Audio occasionally cuts out.
I think there is a fault in the product that I received. I have had the product for a week and on 3 occasions it produced a painfully loud hissing which would not stop until I turned it off and on again. The sound was definitely caused by the DAC, I monitored the sound output from my computer as it happened.Additionally, there have been times where the audio will completely cut out. Sometimes muting and unmuting will fix it, other times I need to power it off and on.There is also a slightly audible background hiss which can be heard at all time when the DAC is turned on.

Gutes Dac, falsche Farbe.
