ProtoLineman's Pliers New England Style 6-3/16"

Great pair of Lineman's Pliers. Nice to have a smaller length when the job requires.

I've recently decided to stop carrying pliers-based multi-tools (i.e Leatherman) during farm work, as when it comes to very hard fencing wire--they just can't cut it. So, what did I choose--a probably 40 year old pair of lineman's pliers my grandfather had recently given me--the Proto 267G. The other tools and knife part was covered with what I typically carried since I was 8 (a decade, now), a Swiss Army Knife.Mine don't have the red rubberized handles for one of two reasons--either they didn't have them then, or the rubber fell or wore off.These will crimp and bend wire well. They will cut through 1/8 inch nails without complaint easily. Except for a patina, they still work and look new. At this size, they will fit into my jeans pocket well.I highly recommend these pliers!
