These spikes work great for keeping the squirrels from digging in my porch flower pots. I cut the strips into sections and bury them around the sides of my pot's a couple inches below the soil with just the tips sticking out. No more sweeping up dirt. Great value, can cut for customize sizing. I also use them along my fence line to stop squirrels from jumping on my bird feeders, stops birds from perching and pooping on my fence. They feed and fly away. Great deterrence without harming the squirrels, birds and my flower pots!

Inexpensive, very effective, easily installed method to reduce pesky birds and the messes they create.

I think this works pretty good, but I still had one dove out of nine areas find a spot behind the spikes. Even though she had to go over them.

The media could not be loaded.  I just installed these spikes where swallows had nested. We waited until the babies left the nest and then immediately removed the old one (what a mess). Swallows will return to the same spot every year, and this mother swallow was back within 24 hours after removal of the nest. I immediately cleaned up what she had just started and quickly put some of these spikes together. We installed them, and I attached a video that I hope plays in which the mother swallow is flying all around the spikes. She is clearly not happy with the situation, and she's returned many times, but never landing. I think she's getting the message that this spot is no longer ideal. I'll update this review as I obtain more information, but for now, it seems that these spikes did the trick. In terms of assembly, you will need to put them together as the metal spikes are packaged separately from the metal plates. It's pretty easy, however, just a little thumb strength. The spikes are pretty long, say 5 inches or so, and both the spikes and plate are well-made and sturdy. We installed them with thumb tacks. At present, I give this product my highest review.

Good product

This is the only item that has worked for us in 3 years. We tried fake owls, wind spinners etc. to no avail. These are very hard to see from the street so it does not detract from the look of your home. Well made and sturdy! Definitely recommend.

Had a bird build a nest behind my blink camera that was located in my front door. I’ve tried everything. I’ve taken the nest down three times so I had to buy these. They’re really easy to assemble and you may have to put like some type of to make them stay, but other than that, them birds are gone

This item does not keep squirrels away. We have actually seen the squirrels jump over the spikes. Since it took so long to put these together we are going to just absorb the loss. Again this is a bad product. Do not buy.
