Sweet Buttercup: A Branches Book (Silver Pony Ranch #2) (2)

These are zooming out of my little library of easy to read books. If you've got a horse crazy girl that is ready for easy chapter books these are a good choice. One of my readers just finished this book (which is book 2) over a weekend. She borrowed it on Friday and returned it on Monday looking for more in the series. This is a student that struggles with reading and would ordinarily take much longer to read a book this length. Any book that motivates my students to read is a winner as far as I am concerned!

my daughter is a tough customer when it comes to books and this is one series that I hope continues because she really likes it.

For children who are horse crazy and who are ready for chapter books, this book is a goof transition into chapter books. It is easy to read and will build the child's confidence as a reader. Make sure to ask the child to re-tell you story, just good practice to make sure comprehension is there!

The daughter has head these books twice now!

My 7 yr old daughter absolutely loved this book. It was the first one that she ever picked up and read all on her own, all in one day. She also re-read it and kept telling me, "it's so good!". I really wish there were more titles in this series.

My 8 year old daughter and I read this together. It’s a great beginner chapter book. Chapters are short and exciting, making her want to continue reading. The illustrations help keep her interested and seem to help with comprehension too! I hope we see a #3 soon!

For the in-between reading phase. A GREAT book that moves into Chapter books with ease. My 6 year old was getting bored by Chapter books because they lacked pictures, this book made her interested again. A great find!

My daughter loved these. Perfect mix of chapters, story line, pictures, and vocab. She read both in one week and asked for the next book in the series... My second grader felt confident about reading these alone, but also enjoyed reading them together. Really wish there were more options like Silver Pony Ranch!

This book is ideal if you child is struggling with long books due to learning or concentration issues- and of course for other children too! The story is sweet, the characters friendly - my child loved it! Ordered the second one now.

Great reading level for grade 2, beining chapter book, wish there were more than 2 in the series
