Rhode Island Novelty 7 Inch Glitter Locker Safe Bank, One Piece per Order

The bank itself is high quality and you get a good product for the money spent :) The keys that come with it DO work to lock and unlock the safe, so BEWARE, you don't want to lose both copies!! A parent or guardian would be wise to keep one for themselves in a place where the child cannot take it. My daughter lost her key, grabbed the other key from our room without asking, and then lost that one. I figured it was just a faux lock and could be opened with a screw driver, but that is not the case. Thankfully, we did find the keys.Well-built, attractive to the eye, and very functional as a bank :)

The item pictured does not denote the color of the item sent. While the description states "Assorted colors," I had hoped that by selecting the option with the blue safe pictured that this implied I had selected that color from the assortment; a purple safe was sent. While I was technically in error, I feel clarification in the product description (and not in the Q&A--if it is there) is needed. Also, The keys for the safe were locked-up in the safe when it arrived, so I had to jimmy the lock (easily done with a nail file) to get the keys out. I also felt that the dial for the safe code was cheap, felt like it was screwing out of the mechanism with each turn, and I had to turn it gently to get it where it needed to go with out grinding. As this was a gift for a 5 year old, who luckily likes purple, I feel the glitter and novelty make-up for the quality and the gift was well received. If I had purchased for an older child, I would have sent this back for a better-made (and advertised) item.

This bank was purchased as a birthday gift for my daughter. I think she'll like it.The first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the box was how heavy it was. It's definitely made of metal, and hefty to boot!.The second thing I noticed was how it was *much* smaller than advertised. As I write this, this bank is described in the listing as being 10 inches long. It's not. It's only 7 inches long (please see the pictures), so be aware. For this, I took off a star. That said, it's still plenty big enough for a kid to store their money and other valuables in, unless they have an awful lot of money, or large valuables.Visually it's eye catching, with a high-gloss enamel paint and a glittery door that sparkles the way I'm told a young girl likes.ConstructionAs I mentioned, it's all metal, and the construction appears to be sturdy. The metal is far thicker than I thought it would be. The locks (combination and key) are also metal. Even the dial is metal. This was a relief after seeing all the plastic kids banks out there.SecurityObviously this wasn't intended to protect the crown jewels, so don't expect anything other than basic security. The combination lock only has one disk, so it has a one-number combination. In other words, it's trivial to open. But, combined with the key, it should be enough to keep nosy siblings out.Overall, I'd say this bank is worth a look.

I bought this for my 5 yr old granddaughter because she likes things with keys. She loved it! The following day, while playing with it, she locked it, then thought where would be a safe place to put the key? Of course, I'll drop it into the coin slot at the top of the locker! Now, with the key safely inside along with the spare key and other treasures, I decided to purchase a second safe in hopes the new safe key would unlock the old one. It did! Moral of the story: Hide the spare key!

I Ordered this For My 10 Year Old Because At Her school she has to share a locker it is kind of small but it works she hasn't used it for school because it hasn't start yet but she has been using it as a closet for her barbie dolls and a lot of stuff can fit in it

HI there...so we love the look of this darling little safe...had a bit of an issue as it was pink not blue, but also the locker opens when the correct number is dialed in AND the key is turned. well the key was taped down INSIDE the safe...so although the correct number code was put in, we needed to take a screwdriver and bend open the safe to get out the key....and now that it's bent back...its just fine and works well...so maybe the key should've been taped on the outside for the initial use??? thanks

I suppose I should say that it is sturdy, since it does not seem to be damaged in spite of the packaging. The box arrived with the shipping label slapped on the box itself, no shipping box at all. In addition, the ends were not even taped; one end was open, and the safe was halfway out of the box.It is a gift for my granddaughter that she picked out; however, it is cheaply made. Furthermore, she was here when it was delivered and saw it since there was no packaging… No Christmas surprise for her! I would NOT order again.

The size of this toy bank is great, also the sparkling color. My granddaughter will love it!
