four out of five stars, WHY?
The seller, and any other seller should read this review. OBVIOUSLY, NEITHER seller NOR manufacturer are chefs. The utensil fails in one regard. How many chefs use this for the non-stick pan? And how many of you grew up rapping the edge of said pan with the masher? Well, the silicone does not come up far enough on the utensil to protect the lip of the pan. Unusual, since the extra bit of silicone would cost pennies.

Works great!
I bought the two child sized ones that came as a package deal. Yes they're SLIGHTLY smaller, but that's what I wanted. When cooking for only two people I wanted small utensils since I use smaller pots, pans, and dishes. I can use one for mashed potatoes and one for ground beef. Also, there was another review about how the silicone doesn't come up very high on the larger masher, but it does on these.

Nice construction/materials
I haven't actually mashed anything, but you can see that it is well built and will work great. Thankfully, I still bought it in spite of the incorrect measurements. It's 9.5" tall, but only 4.75" wide and 3.5 deep.

Good buy
Love this masher. I worry about using metal or plastic mashers on my pans so I looked for a silicone coated one. This was bigger than I anticipated, but that's not a bad thing! This made quick work of ground beef, which is mostly what I use a masher for. Also worked to shred canned chicken super fast. Dishwasher safe, and it actually fits in my kitchen drawer despite being large.

Does the Job!
I needed a silicone masher to protect my pots and this fits the bill. It's small enough to use in all of my pots and it's the perfect size for my single meals. It's also very easy to clean. I docked a star because soon after purchasing, the silicone split on one of the curves, exposing the metal underneath. It hasn't affected my use of the masher and my pots seem fine, but be aware that it may not be a long-term product.

Coated end is quiet and doesn’t scratch, excellent value.
I bought this for mashing potatoes, of course. Probably mashes or mixes whatever you have, it’s really sturdy.I wanted a silicone coated end to avoid scratching my stainless mixing bowls and reduce metal to metal clatter while working. I picked this particular version from several similar choices mainly based on the reasonable price for an infrequently used item. Overall, I can’t say it does a better job than another similarly designed item, but I was pleased by the quality considering the low price. It does indeed mash effectively. It is quiet when used in a metal bowl. And it doesn’t take up much room at all ( I just keep it in the roasting pan).

This is a great small size that fits into many pots ...
I find this tool very useful for just about anything that needs to be separated or flattened or compressed inside a cooking pot, and it's also very pretty and matches all my other red silicone utensils. It fits into cookware that a regular-size masher would not. I am on a low-carb regimen and don't eat potatoes, and I can't say it's a very effective masher for already-riced cauliflower, but I use it to mash defrosted ground meats and other foods, and it has filled a void in my range of cooking implements quite well.

My husband loves it.
My husband who does the mashing loves this. Gave it on Xmas morning and he used it to mash potatoes in the afternoon. Easy mashing and easy to clean.
