Zero moving parts
Yes, I paid 14 dollars for a piece of cork, but it takes care of the task. Keeping a banjos planetary in the air and off the tabletop.

Very stable, gentle on your guitar
I have a confession to make, I am a stringed instrument fanatic :) (well actually I play several non-stringed instruments too). My wife thinks I own too many guitars, but I just ordered one more :)With such a hobby, I work on my guitars myself, be it cleaning/oiling, changing strings, setups, I even build some of my own instruments. When you do this kind of work, stable neck support is crucial. I own a Hercules brand foldable neck support you can see in some of the pictures, but sometimes I don't find it stable enough. It's also generally too high (it's adjustable between high and highest :) ) so I decided to try one of those "block" neck supports. I saw one on Amazon in pine but I am worried that it is too hard and could scratch my guitar, so I turned to Donner which is my "go to" for cheap-but-good music accessories. This model is made from cork which is a lot more gentle on the instruments and avoids scratching the finish. It has two heights, and more importantly, the lowest height which I prefer for electric guitars is lower than my Hercules support. When using a lower height stand and a "Gibson style" guitar with an angled headstock you want to be very sure that the headstock doesn't touch the table or the rest of the neck support, or pressure on the neck could snap the headstock. From the picture with my Epiphone Dot, you can see it is safe. In fact, I measured and the tip of the headstock is still over 1" off the table surface. When the neck support is in the upright position, the headstock is at least 3 inches off the table (2nd photo), which makes it easy to access the tuning pegs, etc... Yeah, the headstock is dusty, I should have taken the pictures after I was done working on this guitar :)I show a picture while oiling the fretboard, because the cork sticks to the surface and has a wide square base, it stays put and is very stable, which is good since I'm vigorously rubbing oil into the fretboard. This is more stable than the foldable Hercules neck supportAfter I was done cleaning my guitar, I worked on my strat-style guitar (I painted it myself!) and the neck support works great for non-angled headstocks of course,Then for fun, I decided to try my bass, my acoustic guitar, my ukulele, and my banjo (I forgot to take a picture of the banjo) and of course, the neck support works for all of them. All in all a great little purchase. If I had to find one issue with it, it's that there is a small piece of cork missing on the side, you can see it in some of the pictures. It doesn't affect functionality at all so I didn't bother exchanging it, even though I'm sure the manufacturer would have if I had asked.

Neck rest cradle makes it much easier to work on my guitars
I have several guitars and I like to work on them. Besides the usual string changes, I also do setup work on them. I don't know why I didn't buy something like this neck rest cradle a long time ago. I had a flimsy folding plastic neck support, but it did not work well at all. This cradle gives you the option of two heights for your neck. It's been very useful for me and I recommend it.

A good functional tool
It's a cork block that's cut to fit and support various guitar necks. It's stable, and works well.

Does it’s job adequately
For years, I just scrunched up an old towel for support of my guitar neck while working on the guitar. The neck would slide everywhere; it was no fun. This little bugger here works really well, and it has two different heights you can set it to. Worth the money. By the way, it’s made out of cork. I don’t remember if it says that in the description.

A great travel tool
The media could not be loaded. I have a travel tool box I take for playing outside of the house. I recently was somewhere and needed to change some strings on the fly so to speak. Shockingly enough in a well prepared home studio there wasn't anything I could substitute for a neck cradle. I was determined not to be caught empty handed again. I have one of these things at home, but it is substantially bigger and cost about 3x as much as this one. I've had good luck with Donner stuff, so I gave it a try. I was happy I did. It fits nicely in my case or toolbox. I like it and it was a good deal.It works equally as well with acoustic and electric guitars 😏

Functional and practical, good idea tu add felt padding in cusps but not necessary…

Good size and support
There's nothing fancy here but there doesn't really need to be. My guitars and basses are all supported fine by this little block. I usually use it in the tallest position and haven't run into balance issues while doing a setup. The price is right, it's tiny, and it's super light so it's no big deal to add it to a case or gig bag.
