I’m using this bench as an accent piece in my kitchen bay window and am very impressed. It looks great and is very strong. Installation wasn’t too bad until attaching the top. Very tricky, so brace yourself. Aside from that, no complaints at all.

The chest is really a quality piece. It takes some effort to assemble but the results are outstanding. I'm very happy with this item. It was missing 1 piece but the company shipped the replacement piece in 3 days. That's quite exemplary. Kudos to them. Really happy I purchased this piece. It even matches my other mission furniture perfect.

I bought this storage bench to tuck away shoes in in the entryway of our home. The bench does look nice and is functional but I won't forget the several frustrating hours I spent putting it together myself. Not every hole aligned quite right and I had to spend a good deal of time loosening and tightening back screws until some of the parts were flush. Appearance wise, some of the finish seem unevenly applied in the small corners of the hinged doors giving those spaces a "hazy" look. The door pulls came in a shiny black color that cheapens the overall appearance of the piece. Overall a good purchase in my opinion and I'd probably buy the bench again knowing what I know now.

I love this bench! My husband watched a YouTube video on assembly and we did it using the wrench that was included. He didn't want to risk a scratch, using a drill. The cushion is a bit firm, but looks good. The top was tedious to line up, but once it was in place, I sat on it while he engaged the fasteners!

This is a gorgeous piece of furniture that goes perfectly with my Mission bedroom set. Either previous posters got a manufacturer defect, or they just can’t put furniture together. It was probably the EASIEST piece I’ve ever put together thanks to the new type of locking mechanisms that required no screws. Total construction time was less than 45 min for me. The piece is SOLID! No cheap parts or cardboard backing…and, it was $66 cheaper than a competitor that rhymes with “May-bear” (god forbid I actually type their name as Amazon would delete this review).Great purchase!!!

The exterior looks nice, no doubt. The quality, however, is another story. First one arrived with a ripped back. Sent it back and got a new one. Screw holes wouldn't line up but completed assembly anyway. Within a month or two door hinges broke so it wouldn't close. The company sent replacement parts. 2 years later, hinges break again. Requested replacement parts and was told I have to find them on my own and pay for them. The thing is junk with bad customer service to boot.

Purchased 3 benches will use as window seats

This bench is made of sold wood and is very good looking but it was extremely hard to put together. I would not have bought it if I knew how difficult it was. It took us 2 days because we were so frustrated the first day and had to start again the second day. It is put together with tiny pegs and hinges and it is very hard to line up the pegs in the slots, then turn the hinges. There had to be a better way. Then there were a lot of wood screws too. We vow to never buy a piece of furniture that does not come fully assembles. Of course this was made in China!

I purchased this storage bench to place it in a bay window area I wouldn't be able to use otherwise.The bench is as nice as it looks in the photo, sits two people comfortably and it's quite sturdy. It probably took my husband I one hour to assemble and the instructions were not that hard to follow.The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the back panel (one of the few panels that is not made of wood) was damaged during delivery. Since the bench is placed with its back side to a wall, I decided not to return this piece or ask for an exchange. However, considering the price of the product, the least I expected was to receive it in good shape.

Average at best . Had to do my own modifications for the magnet cabinets to close. Few poorly painted parts and stain from a complete different paint . It does look great but not with out a little work my self
