Bear Company (Dark Corps) (Volume 1)

My son started to read these in fifth grade and is continuing the series as he goes into sixth grade. His reading level is a grade or two up from his classmates, so if he really digs in he can finish one book in about 90 minutes, so it's not the most challenging read but anytime he enjoys the story and wants to keep going with any book series then I'll support him. Based on his feedback I would recommend this to any 3rd to 5th grader who thinks the description sounds like something they'll like. I say to give it a shot!

I picked this up at the suggestion of a friend to read with my niece and nephew (ages 8 and 10), and I was pleasantly surprised to find myself getting into the story. The characters are very likable and there’s even an occasional joke that will likely go over kids’ heads, but I appreciated the author’s effort to throw something in there for older readers.The kids and I read it together and they really enjoyed the story, especially the stuffed bears becoming protectors. No spoilers, but they were so into it that they were both really worried about how the book would end. They’re looking forward to more books in the series, and I am too.

I bought this for my son. He is a slow reader so we still have a few pages to get through, but so far he (we) is enjoying it thoroughly. I've read some of it with him. I love the humor and fast-paced descriptions. I can tell the author had much fun writing this. He takes you into each scenario, putting you with the characters/in the scene. You'll have to take a look and see for yourself. Loving it!

i loved it i read it in 3 day because i loved it i love the cliffhanger end and everything about this book i am so happy there is ten books

I have a 8 and 9 year old that are polar opposiand they love this book.

I thought this book was awesome. It's well written easy to read and excellent vocabulary range. I like the imagination offered within the book. I ended up buying numerous copies to give out as gifts to friends and family's children.

As in book 2,there was action. It was good to find out what led to book 2. This is a good book for children.

Reading it now with my two sons and watching their eyes wide with excitement!

This evening i got Bear Company (Dark Corps Book 1) for my Kindle. Id like to say thank you to the Author for having it as a free book. I loved the front cover of the book and it got me thinking about what Bear Company might be for. So i started to read the book to find out. I read the first chapter and thought am i going to like this book? I wasn't sure whether or not i was going to want to continue reading but i thought well I've started it now so i may as well finish it. Turns out i really got into the book and didn't put it down till I'd read it all.I had so many questions as i was reading the book that i had to find out what happened next. Will Dr Barnes do what the Agents want him to do? Will his invention work? Will the Dark take over the World? Will Bear Company get Timmy to safety? Will Timmy see his Dad again?Now that ive read the book i really want to know what happens next!
