Art for all
Imelda is a very gifted writer and artist. She shares her knowledge generously. Therapists and non-professionals (like myself) alike will find this a useful guide. I loved it!

Sign me up!
A book about art meeting shamanism? Sign me up! I personally like the fact that this book about art has no pictures in it which frees you up to see your own pictures through Imelda's words. A true gift! Some of my personal favorite artists are ones who are able to access another dimension of intelligence and love, another world of kindness and humble respect, another more evolved and grateful reality, who then help us by bringing this newness into our ordinary lives. These artists are shamans bridging worlds with their art. In this wonderful book, with passion and intelligence, Imelda offers to us that we are ALL artists! Hmmm. Being that I'm alive then I too am an artist that can also access another world of goodness and greatness. Or as she says, "The greatest piece of art we will ever make is our own life!"

Wonderful book by a terrific knowledgeable author!
Imelda has done it again, writing with integrity, insight and wisdom about creativity and being connected to spirit. She has written a beautiful book that will inspire many to connect their inner creative energies with the beautiful world of spirit and creative forces and helps people learn how to open to that infinite flow of healing and inspiration. And in response to another reviewer who says the term "hollow bone" was taken from a Native American elder's work, the term "hollow bone" is not exclusive to Native American spirituality, mysticism and shamanism, which are all intertwined and irrevocably connected, as they are in every spiritual indigenous culture. To think otherwise, is to succumb to the illusion that true spirituality creates dualism and dichotomy, which is simply a false precept. One of the beautiful things about this book is how it helps the reader reweave the connections of our beautiful multi-faceted selves and universe.

Finding Your Own Sacred Art Expression!
Excellent book and resource on sacred art! I love that it blends “how-to” practical exercises, with obviously well-researched context. The author explored various traditions, traits, qualities, and experiences of that which is uniquely sacred art, making it more accessible to the reader. This is an important for those of us who feel less than artistic/crafty! I also deeply appreciate the authors clear acknowledgment of her points of view, biases, and cautions for the reader against misunderstanding/appropriating other traditions and cultures. It is evident how much care and consideration went into her writing, not only for her readers, but also the collective global community.

Native American Spirituality versus Shamanism, etc.
I find this book very disrespectful first of all to the revered Lakota Holy Man and Spiritual Leader by the name of Frank Fools Crow, who called himself a "Hollow Bone" for Spirit to work through, which the author in my opinion "stole".Native American Spirituality and Shamanism are two very different philosophies and don't have anything in common !!Further more this book mixes Native American Spirituality with Shamanism, A LOT of Paganism throughout, Witchcraft, Magick, Sorcery, Voodoo, Psychedelic Magic, and much more that is very contrary to Native American beliefs. It is quite disrespectful for the author to use "Hollow Bone" in the tile, which is very misleading to the whole content of this book. The title fooled me & I'm not easily fooled. I've been on a Native American path for 30 years now and in the spiritual book business for 35 years.

Fantastic resource for soulful intuitive living !
I have absolutely loved Imelda’s second book, Sacred Art a Hollow Bone for Spirit, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough! I am an artist who has always found that my own work and the art world are very much at odds, and this book really began to unpack what’s been happening to me and my work, and provided some clarity on how I’ve long felt about all this. It has given me renewed hope and seeds of direction through some very frustrated and exhausted feelings, which as been so welcome. If you are interested in a more soulful or spirit led approach to making art, where connection with divine is the focus, you’ll love how Imelda writes about her own practise, and also the practical steps laid out at the end of each chapter to guide you towards more involvement with this way of working, even if you are completely new to it. I teach intuitive art for people interested in spirit led visual art making, but would absolutely recommend this book to non artists - it is completely accessible, and transferable to other areas of life. I haven’t been able to attend one of Imelda’s courses yet, but this book absolutely inspires me to wait patiently for it ! I will re read this book many times, a must for anyone seeking to walk a deeper wilder path.

Good read about the meaning of sacred art
The author provides a good researched book to explain what really is sacred art. There are also activities on each chapter to deepen the learning and your own connection with spirit.I was hoping it would give specifics on the process she follows to create sacred art and whilst there is no “recipe” I can take the knowledge provided and create my own way of doing it, which after all is what it is all about. We all have our own connection to explore :), we just need to understand what we are aiming for and remove the blocks.

Imelda almquist - sacred art 💎
Imelda almquist‘s Book about sacred art shows very different facets and i love to read it ! Her quote: „every human act can be a sacred act and, performed with the right intention, a sacred art“ - speaks for itself and for the access to art !I would like to read the book also in German !

Loved this Book!
I am one of probably millions of people who can’t draw. This book has changed my perspective on what Sacred Art can be and is and has allowed me to tap into a world I thought was inaccessible to me until now.
