These are metal and 3 come in the box.I bought these for scent training after covid. I used essential oils and they still smell as strong as the day I added it.I don't travel with them, so I'm not aware if they leak or anything. I just put enough oil on the cotton but not enough to saturate it. They are heavier than I expected and better quality.

These are awesome, not gonna lie.As a guy, it’s nice to have access to aromatherapy without smelling like an old lady that owns a tea shop in the mountains.I’m not an expert with essential oils, at all, but I got some cheap therapeutic-grade sets from here on amazon and have been thrilled with them. My son is non-verbal autistic, and I was curious what kinds of smells he liked, so it’s been fun for us exploring and playing with these little inhalers.

Great Inhaler! This inhaler actually works, unlike all the ones that look like a tube of lipstick. When you inhale, air is sucked into the draw the holes in the bottom, traveling through the the wick, picking up essential oil aroma and bringing it into your nose. If you want to maximize the psychological effects of essential oils in a safer way, this is how you do it! Please never vape essential oils, that’s a good way to get a lung disease. These inhalers are also a better deal than the other one that looks like this that sells for 8.99. The only difference I noticed between the 2, is the other one has more threads to lock the cap on with. I personally don’t feel that’s enough of a difference to worry about. I own both, and they are both great, but I will be buying many more of these!

This is one of the best personal inhalers in the market, but they are pricey!
