Before Susan Wilson's book on Crackle Weave, this was the best book out there! Somewhat dated, but tons of informations on Crackle weaves and how to weave it with traditional and other treadlings.

Very nice book easy to understand

Crackle weave is one of the lesser-known weaves and has great design possibilities. The designs are produced by the arrangement of blocks. In this book, Snyder presents over 90 projects arranged in five lessons to teach the design possibilities in the weave, the use of crackle weave in producing traditional and contemporary fabrics, as well as the use of crackle weave in ecclesiastical weaving and multiple harness weaving. The book would make a good group study project. Profusely illustrated.
