Plastic degrades after cold winter season
I found that after installing these they becomes very brittle after the first season. When taking down my lights thee clip would snap or crack and became useless. Removing them left rubber residue on surface that had to be peeled or removed with a solvent. They held well nut found in temperature swings from cold to warmer temps the adhesive failed. Overall wouldn’t recommend. I’ll try anther brand. Plastic needs to be more pliable.

Worked well for me
I used these small clips to hang strings of outdoor lights for Christmas 2022. They stuck to my vinyl window and door frames securely and did not fail through the season. And I live in northern Ohio, where it gets cold and wet.I strung my lights today for Christmas 2023. After a year, some of the mounted clips from last year broke when I tried to reuse them. They had become brittle after a year of the elements. They scraped off with a putty knife. Fortunately I still had many new clips left from last year to complete my lighting project. For the price I am very satisfied with the performance of the clips. Don't mind if some fail after a year. They are sturdy enough to do the job outside for a season. 👍 Works for me.

Works but some did not stick to my gutter and came loose.
I wish they had been stronger at sticking to my gutters. They are holding up Christmas icicles and with one for icicle some have come unstuck.

Adhesive issues with FL heat!
We liked the idea of this product for our sting light on the pool patio ceiling. If the clips are out in the heat - the adhesive becomes VERY sticky and hard to peal the clear part off - we had to literally put them in the fridge for a few minutes and even then the clear part is hard to separate from the adhesive part - it might have been easier if the clear part had more “edge” to grip. The next issue was some of the clips came loose from the patio ceiling - and on some the separation left the adhesive on the ceiling but the clip came off! Florida weather was very hot during installation - so we put new clips on the broken ones - but others did the same thing - we have enough left so will try again when it cools down a bit more. We bought the LARGE clips - but they were almost too small for the Harbor Freight string lights cord. Would suggest caution if you plan to use these in high heat/humidity conditions - or frustrate easily as it’s hard to separate the clear film off the adhesive!

Excellant AdhesionTo Wood
I installed over 120 of these clips and not one came loose yet in 2 weeks through rain & a few days of freezing weather. There was also tension on these clips so as to keep my light string very tight. The red plastic adhesive tape protector was very difficult to remove making it not worth using the clips until I discovered a different way to remove the film tape. I stuck the red tape side to the sticky side of some duct tape and pulled the clip off and the red tape stuck to the duck tape!! Was fast and easy. Love these clips.

Terrible
These do not respond well to temperature changes or moisture. I used these to stick up LED Christmas lights to the inside of my windows. I had 5 small windows in total and it took me about 2 HOURS to get my lights up. This job should have taken 1 hour max. Each window should have needed no more than 8 clips (40 total) but I have ended up using the whole 60 pack because some would not stick straight out of the pack and some of the ones that did work failed and had to be replaced. I wiped down the glass and vinyl of the windows with glass cleaner and let it dry fully before putting these up and still some would not stick. Almost all the ones I placed in the top corners of each window fell down and had to be replaced. It was very annoying. None of my windows are over 36" wide so they are small to standard size. The adhesive doesn't seem to respond well to temperature changes or slight moisture that may develop from condensation and they fall. I do not recommend these and I would not buy them again. Many people complained about these being too sticky and having difficulty removing the red backing from the adhesive. I did not have that issue at all and I believe that the company may have altered the adhesive to make it easier to remove the backing and now they do not work as well. Stick with a 3M branded product. I have 3M hooks on the outside of my windows for hanging Christmas wreaths and they have remained stuck for two years outside in the elements with no issues at all. I put the 3M hooks up the same way I did these. I wiped the area of the window I was applying them to down with window cleaner and let it dry them attached the hooks. These clips were used inside on a clean smooth surface away from the elements and about half of them still fell down.

Excellent product
I used these to hang xmas lights at my house this year. I was skeptical because my house is stucco and seemed like it would be a tough surface to stick to. Not for these babies! They adhere very quickly and I hung up 500ft of lights with them using all 60 hooks. NOT A SINGLE ONE FELL through the duration of the holiday season. They don't seem like they'll be tough to remove either, although I'm going to leave them up because they are small and hard to see, so keeping them in place will make it easier to hang the lights next year. A+ product for sure!

Great clips with strong adhesion for string lights
These plastic clips are great for securing some string lights along the top portion of walls inside my house. I purchasd the size small and they are the perfect size for string lights. The plastic and clip are thick and the adhesive on the back of them sticks great. I installed the clips close to each light bulb and pulled the wire tight and the clips are holding the string lights securely. Time will tell how well they keep their adhesion especially once it gets hotter outside thereby warming up the house inner walls. I installed during the winter months. I have not used these outside so I cannot comment on how well they will stick elsewhere, but they stick great inside on smooth walls and trim.
