Hudson's Bay Company90 by 100-Inch Queen Size 6 Point Blanket, White

I had a full size blanket that I got in the 70s from Hudson Bay and I washed it and washed it and washed it even though you’re not supposed to and turned it into a twin size blanket and I finally got myself a queen size one last month and it’s so warm and has the right amount of weight for a wool blanket. I feel happy to have it. Going to dry clean this one however

This is my second Hudson's Bay blanket. I got the first (the brown and gray stripe version) 30 years ago at the Hudson Bay store in Ottawa on a business trip and it is time to pair it with another to "share the wear" and extend both their working lives.

Thinner than past ones. Not as warm as expected. Appearance and quality lower than past ones. Color off white and others not vibrant. Would not buy again. Not recommended. Recommend Pendleton or just a light comforter instead. Many other brands I liked better and over half priced. Always wanted another Hudson Bay BUT not this one. Will keep as decoration rather than utility. Disappointed.

I have wanted a HBC blanket for years and never had the right place for it. Now I have the place and this is the perfect blanket. Fast shipping, too (I'm all about instant shopping gratification).

Historically this blanket was used by trappers in the Canadien rockies. It is not as soft or plush as modern day blankets. It is a heavier weight too, but it is definitely the warmest blanket you can buy. We love ours.

I purchased this blanket from Amazon because the Hudson's Bay stores in Canada do not ship to the USA. Other stores do sell the Point blankets, but they are always the original white blankets, and I wanted the blue one. The blanket itself is awesome. The blanket is not very thick, but the wool is very warm and does not have the scratchy feel that so many cheap wool blankets have. The colors are vibrant and the points are very obvious. The manufacturer's tag is large and legible. I am very glad I spent the money on this blanket.

By in the fur trapping days, this blanket could be yours for a mere six beaver pelts in perfect condition. Today, you don't need to trap beaver, just use your credit card for an extremely warm blanket with a strikingly modern design, that also conveys a sense of history.

It was for my Dad for Christmas! He has always wanted one since he was in the Navy and had one then. He loved it!
