I bought it to try for the stabbing arthritis pain in on of my fingers and I'm happy to report that after a while the pain has disappeared. You just have to get past the smell of the product. The only way I know how to describe it is "rotten broccoli". However: don't let that turn you off, because you only smell it for a few seconds and the stuff really works.

It's hard to accurately describe the horrid smell of this product, it's almost like if you fermented a large batch of garlic broccoli in urine for a month. I tried to save some money by switching from the enteric coated pills in the blister packs to these, but from the moment I opened up the new jar the smell is so not worth it. I persevered and tried taking them, but even though they're only in the mouth for a fraction of a second, they still leave a taste, and then there are the resulting burps, also with a taste. Hopefully I received a bad batch, but judging from other reviews, probably not. Do yourself a favor and skip this one, the price is right, the smell is WRONG!

They do improve mood, but they stink.

In general, most people that can smell are not going to like this smell. The netherworld of Hell is reported to stink of Sulfur and Brimstone (rottenness), so you could safely say this Smells like Hell and not be far from what is considered popular opinion.Although not scientifically confirmed swallowing pill with yogurt minimizes the unpleasantness.Besides the initial olfactory offense, after ingestion you may experience gaseous emissions that express themselves ascendant via the esophagus exiting the mouth...Yah, be prepared to "burp it up" thus getting a taste of the stinky element in the pill. However, use of the yogurt may lessen the impact of the Burp Up effect too (thats what she said anyway)One last thing. If you do buy some it doesn't hurt to keep it in the fridge, but in a ziplock baggie.Dont Forget: Swallowing with yogurt minimizes the unpleasantness, maybe, and if you hate yogurt try pudding or Jell-O. The idea being to encase the pill and isolate it from your sense of taste.

Haven't taken this long enough to know how well this will help me but reviews are very encouraging and am hopefully going to get some relief,,,if this helps I will be ordering more

The smell was almost unbearable. I mean really, really bad; stunk up my whole kitchen. The smell is a sign of a poorly produced or terribly degraded supplement, so I tossed them out. Based on the reviews, this is the norm for this brand, so stear clear.

This product really helped my mood. I was a bit malnourished after dieting and this help me recovering from it. Feeling happier and more energized

Everything I read states if SAMe has an odor the product is degraded. I didn’t read any reviews about the product prior to purchasing it and regret that. After I had opened the bottle the foul smell prompted me to do a bit of research. Everything customers have written about the SAMe smelling foul is accurate. I imagine the fact customers can’t return it is an indication that the company is aware of the bad quality of their product. It’s so disappointing to be ripped off by a greedy company lacking any concern for the people seeking good health from supplements.
