Leaks!
Leaked vacuum as soon as I installed it. Do not buy without checking for leaks!

Works just like the stock GM part. Good stuff again Dorman.
Gm used these as a filter for you Brake booster. Although many people leave them in for ages they are supposed to be changed periodically. This replacement looks and works the same but costs less than the GM part. Cant go wrong. Installed this on my 1987 Camaro Z28.

Leaked
Filter was not air tight. I did not see a crack anywhere. It appeared to be leaking where the two halves are connected. Threw it in the trash.

Not a check valve if that's what you're looking for. It's a filter only.
I wanted a 3/8" o.d. barbed vacuum brake booster check valve. Several websites list that this is a check valve. I hooked it up to a vacuum gauge and found that it does not hold vacuum. Blowing through one end, air flows freely. Blowing through the other end, there is a tiny bit of air resistance, not much. If it truly was a check valve, you should only be able to blow through one way and not the other. Maybe it was defective? Saw other reviewers having had the same issue but I thought I'd take a chance. Time wasted. Oh well. :(
