Thank God for this hose filter. We bought a different brand filter before this one which was the glacier fresh filter and it didn't work. Ecoone on the other hand saved us time and money. It worked great. We used it several days in a row. We would let it run for a few hours, then unhook it from the hose, immediately putting the caps back on it and set it inside until the next day. It finished filling our pool up and we didnt have no trouble with it. Our pool looks great. You would never know it was filled with well water.

I've used these for years. Love them but I don't think they actually filter 40,000 gallons of water. I tend to replace at 10 to 20 thousand gallons. I fill my hot tub with it. No problems with itchy skin from chlorine and other chemicals in tap water and perfect for Enzyme based chemicals in hot tub.

I use this in my cold plunge tub. Tested it before and after and removed 40ppm from water. Better than nothing and many other brands on Amazon don’t reduce the ppm by anything. Reccomend and water flow is good.

Our hot tub was starting to feel like sitting on sandpaper from all of the lime deposits. I finally had to drain it and get it all cleaned off. (sadly I used some pretty strong chemicals to break it loose but it didn't hurt our finish) I didn't want to go through the same again. While we have public water, it is hard water. I bought this hose filter and we've had no further issues!! I won't refill without it again. So worth the money!!

I was always suspicious about why this model promised so many more gallons than other similar looking filters but the reviews convinced me to purchase it. My city has very hard water so I used it to top off my pool. By the 5th use, I noticed the flow was much lower, so I reversed the water flow like the instructions said and that seemed to clear things up and was a sign to me that it was doing its job. by the 7th use, I had it floating in the pool when about an hour later I looked back to find all of the carbon and sand at the bottom of my pool. Seems like the filter just threw up all its contents at the bottom of my pool. Thankfully, it was in the shallow end and away from the skimmer and main drains. I hate to think of the mess and damage this could have caused my pump, filter and heater. I would never buy this model again.

Was a little concerned with some of them I have seen on Amazon but this one as you see flows really good and didn’t really slow filling up my pool. I need to bring my water back up since it hasn’t been raining and my water is really hard so tried this filter out. Make sure you run water through it before you stick it on the pool. Water came out black at first and that’s normal with a charcoal filter. Let it run for a bit then stuck it in pool. Pool seem to come like it normally did. I would highly recommend this and with adding this filter hardness did drop some.

To help frame this review, let me explain my scenario: I have well water that I use (untreated) for our lawn. I wanted to use it for gardening but because we measured about 200ppb arsenic 3 and 5 we decided against it. Since this filter claims to filter out heavy metals including arsenic, I gave it a shot. I installed it on our outdoor faucet (the one supplying the well water directly) and watered the lawn for a few days. Then I took a sample and tested it with an FDA approved arsenic 3 and 5 tester. As the picture shows, the more yellow one is the result of the test. Essentially the filter does nothing against arsenic. The second picture shows our control which is the treated water inside our house. This one uses a whole home purification system. My suggestion to anyone out there looking to do the same is to either get a rain barrel/cistern system, or try to feed into your arsenic-free water AFTER the purification step inside your home. It doesn't seem likely that a filter as small as this one could ever remove arsenic just based off how the adsorption media is meant to work (it's based off surface area).

I have high mineral content in my water and have been buying this filter 3 years in a row. Works great in giving me clear water for my hot tub. I use it for my plants as well. Very awesome product.

Though it may take a bit longer to initially fill your hot tub, it is worth the wait. When you use this unit properly, it results in crystal clear water & less chemical balancing for your initial tub fills. You'll get multiple uses from one canister, if stored properly. Results may vary depending on your water source. We have a 24' dug well with minimal iron content, but a lower PH. Product also arrived sooner than expected, thank you.

I purchased this item to ensure that the quality of the water was superior!!! This will definitely making the servicing of the spa much easier. I'm hoping that it does what they said it would do,
