The original peacock on my ATV, in the off position, you could blow through it.This actually shuts the gas off as it should.

Installed on 2004 650 rincon, new bolts and oring seals fit well. This petcock is rebuildable if you were to find the valve gasket as it is screwed together not riveted like the original. It also fit the Honda on off knob very good. The supplied fuel line is questionable I used something different. Mine came with a 1/4 inch fuel filter that will have to be used on something else, no biggie. So if your valve won’t shut off is leaking, carb is dripping over flowing (may need carb serviced as well) or crank case is filling with fuel when sitting, this will stop that. It will not fix your carburetor problems though that’s for another review.

I received the valve yesterday the outlet is 8.8 mm but the filer that came with it is smaller I am guessing 4mm if they re going to send a filter get the right filer so I am trying to figure out how not adapt it or just delete the filter update I put a 2 nd on my other 250 the 1/4 hose is loose I do not know what size it is it looks to be metric I do not know what it is everything it working I will check for leaks in. an hr but it looks good

At first I was happy with this petcock, it fit and sealed to the tank well so no fear of getting gas on a hot engine. But after using it a few times while working on the carb and testing the quad I finished up work and thought all was well, went in the house for lunch, came back out and discovered a pool of fuel on the floor so I went back to town for a carb rebuild kit figuring that was the issue, sticky floats, etc. Re did that, put everything together and ran the quad, all seemed good. Took a break and when I came back out, same problem, pool of fuel awaiting me. I pulled the line off the carb to prepare to redo the carb again, and the fuel line was leaking, couldn't get it to stop. The petcock was bypassing and filling the carb with fuel which overflowed and leaked on the garage floor. So my now once cheap solution to buying factory parts was killing another weekend and more time as I had to wait for REAL parts from Honda. A not cheap lesson in you get what you pay for sometimes. I wasted several weekends so far going back and forth to my desert house to work on this, only to have failure after failure, now I know it was the petcock all along and not the carb. I have the factory Honda part, $90, and will redo the carb again just because, and this will be my third or fourth weekend going out to fix it and get it ready to ride. What fun huh?

We just received this today as promised; however all over the box it was marked Return AND the bag inside the box was Open and no products were in the bag….We would basically like to know if someone just ordered the wrong thing OR they tried to install and it doesn’t work!!

The only thing that i could not use was the fuel filter that came with the petcock it is to small for the size of the gas line plus it did not match the photo of the item listed.
