I was about to give zero stars but I'll give 5 star because I figured out what I was doing wrong my old keys (both) had deep cracks so I bought these and the porsche credit, I moved all the guts including my key blades, only thing I forgot was the transponder so my car wouldn't start took me some research to realize I missed a step. Also if you do buy the Porsche credit be careful when applying glue, use a small amount I have glue I'm having a he all of time removing off the key with acetone, all in all much better quality than the original oem, so hopefully this one lasts

The original key for my 2005 Porsche 911 (997) has two buttons that operate the remote. One button fell off and was lost. This product fixed that in three minutes. The plastic top of the factory Porsche key separates into two halves. One half contains the battery and circuit board. The other contains the control buttons. This replacement contains no electronics, but you can remove its button half and use that part to replace the original section which has one or more missing buttons. It was a perfect, precise fit. YouTube videos show the procedure. A three button version is also available.

I really like this replacement key fob. It tooks time for me to transfer all pieces from the original key, but it worked as indicated.I replaced key #2 for my 2006 911 Carrera.

I only used the the plastic case portion of the key, but it was an exact replacement for the broken part on my factory key. Could not have asked for a better fit. Was easy to install and was shipped to me very quickly. Very happy customer :)
