Lets start saying that I used my Apple TV Remotes without protectors for a while but since these remotes are very susceptible to scratches, scuffs or even get broken just if you let them fall, not to mention that they cost almost a half as the New Apple Tv, I decided to buy a couple of protector for them.I decided to buy one Non-Slip Grip Remote Protective Silicone Cover Case and Secure Gaming Remote Loop, Strap for Apple TV 4 Siri Remote Controller (Black) for each of my remotes.After receive and use this cover for a couple of months now, I could tell you some remarks:Pros:- The quality is very good. The materials are very strong and it looks very well made,- The design is also good. It has a ergonomic form that allows you to grab the remote better that without using any cover,- It is lightweight and fir perfect to the remote,- I would say it would protect the remote very well against dents and scratches if it falls,- The strap is a great plus on this cover. You or your children could play games without the fear of dropping it,Cons: - In the touch part, the cover is too thick and always interferes with the gestures and swiping,Comparison with Tresalto Silicone Case for New Apple TV 4th Generation Siri Remote, Protect & Cover Your Controller: - The Tresalto only wins in elegance and lightweight. It is too thin, do not fit tight and slides out easily just with normal use and the materials seems to be weak. - In my opinion, as I mentioned this one is better in protection against dents, has a strap to play games (you or your children) without the fear of dropping it, its ergonomic design allow you to grab it better that using the Remote without any case.I'm attaching some pictures to compare these two covers.Personally, I will stay using my Non-Slip Grip Remote Protective Silicone Cover Case and Secure Gaming Remote Loop, Strap for Apple TV 4 Siri Remote Controller (Black) instead of the Tresalto.I paid $14.85 each a couple of months ago. I think it really worth it considering the cost of a new Apple TV Siri Remote (LOL).

Let me start by saying that I love the new Apple TV remote. I think it looks great, has excellent functionality, and works like a charm. It's a nice balance of plastics, aluminum, and tech. A huge step up from the previous generations in every regard.That being said, I live in a household where people aren't too kind with electronics and wanted some protection for the remote since it got so much use. Replacing these things aren't cheap, so I picked this one out based on price and reviews. Here are my thoughts:First, the good:- Good protection. It covers most of the body, and I'm comfortable in knowing that it can be tossed around and take a beating.- Textured. The pictures make it look like a smooth rubber, but it actually has a nice texture to it and feels good in the hand. It definitely won't slide around and, with the included wrist strap, won't fly out your hand when you're playing a game (this has happened before).- The looks. Not that bad looking! I mean, I still like the look of it naked, but it still retains some of its style and form.Now, the annoying:- The fit. The sleeve isn't a super tight fit to form and the remote is slightly loose in it. This causes the sleeve to almost "ride up", and when that happens the remote loses its tactile click. Using the remote without its tactile click just feels wrong... it's not a huge deal, but imagine how you felt using a virtual keyboard on a phone after years of using physical keys. It's like that.- The way the protector covers up the top part of the remote inhibits the scrolling. I used to love scrolling by flicking my thumb up quickly, and now you can only scroll partly. It would be hard to design a case with this in mind, so I won't dock much from my final score.Overall, I think this is a great way to protect your remote. The issues I have with how it affects the functionality of the remote are annoying, but minor. Recommended for any 4th gen. Apple TV owner.Also, can we just sit back and think about how ridiculous it is that there's a market for remote control cases in this day and age?

Thank you for making this product! This has fixed 2 major annoyances I have with the otherwise fantastic new Apple TV remote.1 it addresses a tactile orientation problem that is inherent in the remote, it is very difficult to tell from feel what direction you are holding the remove. I've accidentally paused/skipped ahead while reaching for the remote many times because I accidentally fumble across the sensitive trackpad.2 It also addresses the concern about the durability of the remote. I've seen pictures of people who have dropped their new Apple TV remote and the top portion has shattered. I've seen the replacement remotes at the Apple store and they retail for $79.99! Not a far cry from just buying a whole new setup! This sleeve will hopefully provide long term protection against my clumsy son and wife.

Does not fit well. Had to end up just tossing it due to fitment being too tight on the touch pad. Kept pressing down on the touchpad.

Since we purchased our Apple TV4, our Siri Remote has been dropped, stepped on and chewed by our dog. Miraculously the remote has stayed intact, with only minor cosmetic scratches.This little case has a nice textured finish and is contoured in a way that fits my hand more comfortably than the remote without the sleeve. While technically I feel I shouldn't have to buy a case for a remote control, the fact is the Siri Remote is fragile, and this case should help it stay safe.

The case protects the remote just fine but it interferes with the touch pad and causes it to not function right. I had to trim mine down so the remote would work right. Also, where the strap attaches to is really weak and tears easily.
