Tomolo Double Electronic Arc Lighter Windproof Flameless Design USB Rechargeable Cigarette Lighter with USB Charging Cable,Clean Brush and Gift Box

Initially, I was hesitant to purchase this lighter due to the seemingly high price for what appeared at first to be a novelty lighter. However, after having done some seriously major comparisons of prices, weight of the lighters, and average customer rating between this and many many other similar lighters; this lighter seemed to be the best quality lighter at the best price....and BOY was I right! This lighter is fantastic! Right out of the box this lighter simply FEELS like it will be the last lighter I will ever purchase, because it has that quality heavy feel to it! If you are looking to give a smoker a gift that they will truly appreciate, then look no further! The lighter is great, it charges very quickly (between 20-30 minutes) and lasts a considerably long time when taking into account that the battery must be tiny to fit into it. The charge will last me at least 3 packs and some times up to to 5 packs of cigarettes! Another great feature is that if you own an Android phone, and have a car charger for it (this lighter uses Micro USB) you can even charge the lighter while you're on the go! While it does already come with its own charger, it will fit all Micro USB chargers, meaning you can charge it using a standard wall outlet, car charger, and you can even charge it with your PlayStation 4!!! Also worth mentioning is the Wow/Cool Factor of this lighter! Each and every single person that I've shown this lighter to, or that has noticed me lighting a smoke with it has been thoroughly impressed with this lighter that seems to be ripped straight out of the future!!! To top it off, the design on the outside of it looks amazing. The design on it is very stylish and flashy (but nowhere near tacky) and it has enough weight to it where it just feels like a quality lighter, but is not bulky by any means. I love this lighter so much that I did indeed order it twice. The first lighter stopped working on me when I had had a few drinks, and tried to stick a fork into the beam to see what would happen. Apparently, I shorted the lighter out. However, when I called Tomolo customer service, they were beyond accommodating, issued me a partial refund for the purchase (about 95% of original price) even though it was past the warranty listed on their product page!!! They then had me ship the now dysfunctional lighter back to them. I owned the first lighter for just past 3 months, and I've had the current lighter for almost 2 months now. I dropped both lighters repeatedly on cement, concrete, and blacktop (unfortunately that's an inevitability when dealing with lighters, especially if it's more expensive :-p) and even with the shiny chrome looking finish, there are zero visible scratches on the lighter. The terminals have never stopped working on me, and although a cigarette is too thick to fit in between the terminals, if you get the cigarette as close as you can to the beams, and suck in like you do when lighting a cigarette with a normal lighter, the beams will actually bend into the tip of the cigarette and light it rather quickly. PROTIP ***It helps to light the cigarette quickly and more evenly if you rotate the cigarette when lighting it with this lighter*** Granted there is a bit of a learning curve when you first receive and use the lighter, but that is why they include the little brush at no additional charge, to clean off the terminals. But after your first charge, you should be lighting cigarettes evenly, and like a champ!Now, what review would be complete without also mentioning the cons? In order to be objective, I had to be extremely critical to come up with any, but, they are as follows:-the lighter does emit a high pitch noise and it's about the same pitch and volume as when you would press play on a VCR and it would emit a quick squeal (for lack of a better word) as the tape/VCR was loading up; only the sound lasts as long as the lighter is lit.-in order to keep the lighter in great condition, it is recommended to keep it lit for 5 seconds at a time or less, which does take some practice when it comes to lighting a cigarette evenly-cigars would be next to impossible to light using this lighter-you still want to have a cheap lighter with you in case you forget to charge your electronic lighter-if you refuse to carry a cheap backup lighter, you have to make sure and always have a charger with you in case the lighter dies while you are out.So to briefly sum up...this lighters pros far far far outweigh the cons. If you really think about it, even if you manage to hang on to a bic for a full 6 months (or about how long they last if you're only smoking cigarettes with it) you would end up spending about $7 a year in lighters, and with this electronic lighter's current price, you are already saving money if you were to just use this lighter past 3 years. I always lose my cheap lighters, so I end up spending about $21+ a year on lighters alone. On the reviews of other similar lighters there are complaints of those lighters being cheaply made (especially terminals melting, battery not charging properly, and having cheap paint that wears/rubs off), and/or lousy customer service which simply isn't the case here with this fantastic product that has the quality customer service to back it up. Would very much recommend to a friend, and may just purchase this lighter several times to use as gifts for friends.

5 stars - tentatively that is, since only time will tell if it deserves 5 stars.Folks, this is the ultimate lighter system whether it fails or not over timeThe only system I can imagine beyond this would be a super hot short laser beamand I'm guessing it would be too bright for safety; otherwise perfect. So I thinkthis Tesla system might be the final system into the far future. The wind absolutelydoes not blow it out. It lights messy ash laden cigars and hand rolledcigarettes. It's quiet. No fluids or flints; oh YES! With a little re-arrangement it coulddefinitely light a pipe bowl. It's really hot so please keep fingers well away.I will report here if it fails. I use it a lot. We have a wood stove and this does lightthe paper for starting the daily fire. I am really loving it - so far - but I don't get mylong term hopes up since I have a whole box full of failed lighters. Again I feel thissystem is here to stay even if it turns out that it requires improvements. The purpleelectricity is just fascinating to see, even in daylight. Great conversation piece.UPDATE: The frickin electrodes are disintegrating after 45 days and I can't get my money back now; very unhappy! Changing 5 stars to one. The one is for the great idea but this is not the proper way to build something lasting damn it; at least if I'd gotten one year out of it not 45 days! UPDATE: 7 weeks of use and still working fine but 2 of the 4 electrodes have worn down to their conical mounts and do not protrude now so we'll see. Maybe it will keep working for a long time. If it goes 6 months and stops would it then be a 5 star? Or 3 star? or what? UPDATE: 10 weeks of daily use and still working. Some of the decorative overlay on the case has popped off but that doesn't bother me.UPDATE:May 11th 2016: Still working but now you have to touch the object to be lit to the electrodes to get it sparking - I still like this thing though .UPDATE September 7th 2016 - The lighter is still limping along but has to be brushed off every other light. The electrodes are almost gone but it works just barely so I still use it. Have since bought another version with a single spark which is not as strong but works. If I purchase a 3rd I will go back to a double spark.

I wanted a cool electric lighter too.What I like about it?I've never heard of the "TOMOLO" brand of lighters before. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this lighter. It's taller and thinner than a Zippo. The size and shape of it make it easy to handle. I also like watching the purple electronic arcs in action. VERY COOL![watch the video]. I also like that it charges using via a Micro USB port which is fairly common.The outside is has a classy silver swirly design. And the TOMOLO logo size and placement doesn't take away from its beauty.Performance:I would say you get a good 50+ uses out of it per charge, enough to last a pack of cigs. It definitely withstands the wind. All of my friends thought it was cool. We enjoyed using it the whole weekend in Las Vegas.What I don't like about it?It has a USB port on the outside for charging, and a the fact that its electrical--I doubt its very weather resistant. So I will be careful not to get it wet or use it with wet hands, or in the rain. I would just treat it like a cellphone basically. Ive never dropped it, I hope if I ever did drop it, then it could withstand the impact. [Cross my fingers] If I ever lost or broke it.... there's a good chance I would buy it again.
