Great Front Flipper, but not a good first impression
I was beginning to worry about Kizer. The first Kizer I ever got was the Feist. I loved it so much I got a Sheepdog XL and this Genie. However, both Genie and Sheepdog had detent issues. Since this is for the Genie, I’ll talk only about the Genie. First one I received, the detent was so sticky. I actually couldn’t flick it via thumb hole or front flip it without tearing up my fingers. I usually like to front flip with my index finger and it started shredding up the skin on the inside of my finger. I gave it a week hoping that it would loosen up, but it hurt too much. So I returned it and got another one. The second was buttery smooth. Definitely became a favorite after the replacement.

Poor quality control!
I like this knife a lot. But after ordering this knife three different times none of them where worth keeping. The detent of two of the knives were way too tight. The action was horrible. Then the one that had great detent and the action was butter! One side of the handle, the carbon fiber was unfinished. All around the edge of the carbon fiber was not clean and smoothed out. I know it should be because I had two other ones to compare it too. I love my kizer knife that I have but I shouldn't have to order 7 knives to find one worth keeping. You would think that there quality control would be better than this.

No QC on expensive knife
The genie I recieved should have failed QC as it's almost impossible to open one handed. The detent is simply too strong and the knife practically requires two hands to open. Unacceptable for a knife at this price point.
