It does fog - not thrilled about that!

The anti fog factor is great. YOU HAVE to REMOVE the PROTECTIVE FILM! I tried them out of the box and was disappointed because they fogged terribly. I tried anti-fog goo on it... no help. Then I read a little more and found that there is a film covering that has to be removed. THAT is what was fogging. I think that some of these reviewers did not know that so they rated this product much lower than it deserves. The film is hard to remove without damaging the plastic part because it is sewn in, but rubbing it briskly with a pencil eraser helped a lot. When I wore it out in public I got lots of comments of how much easier I was to understand because of seeing my mouth move. I wish the mask was a bit larger but I gave 5 stars for the effectiveness and price point. EDIT: Well, after taking the film off of TWELVE of these masks, I have to wonder what genius gave the order to sew the film into the mask with no real way to remove it easily. I damaged the plastic part of the mask on two of the twelve and three others still have little bits of film hanging and looking weird to anybody who looks at me closely enough. Removing this film (which is absolutely necessary to use the mask) is really the only negative thing about these, but it is annoying enough to downgrade to four stars. Anybody with bad hands or bad eyesight would probably not want them.

The masks do fog up

I bought this clear window face covering since I wanted my deaf student to be able to read my lips better. It worked well in allowing my students to see my smiling face but it definitely got fogged due to the condensation from my breathing. I thought about using some anti-fogging spray with it but I'm not sure how safe that would be. I like that the mask was away from my face so it was a bit more wearable than others that would get sucked in when you breathed in. They kept their shape well even after hand washing for almost a whole school year. These masks became a trademark for me among both the students and staff. One student loved being able to see my expressions more which may have been worth the fogginess haha only bummer was not being able to hide any food stuck in my teeth from lunch but that's not a big deal

It does fog up. To stop the fogging up, remove the plastic film and rub some shaving cream into the plastic piece until it's clear. It won't fog up then. Overall, it's comfortable and light weight. The mask does muffle your voice more than a cloth one but that's to be expected with the plastic piece. Overall, not a bad mask for the price.

Nice but smells odd. Cannot wear longer than thirty minutes. Works well but Irritates throat.

Pro-Tip: Remember to remove the film off of BOTH front and back sides of the mask window.I work outdoors as a guide in the Phoenix area. During low humidity days (which is most of the time, thankfully) this mask works great! It's helpful for guests to read my lips and see my smile. When the mask gets damp (high-humidity/ rain) it will fog up.I have yet to experience what they're like in cooler weather vs the heat of my breath when speaking. I'm also still learning how to clean them to keep the plastic from getting creased and the anti-fog to keep working.I'm glad I got them, for 6 masks, I found the price reasonable. They fit comfortably (I usually wear small or medium masks.) They have been functional for my purposes.Thank you!
