Great ginger flavor with the right mix of spice and sweet. I use it in cocktails and both my wife, and I enjoy mixing it with seltzer water for a delicious ginger-ale. We've tried other ginger syrups and this one if our favorite.

First, let me say this is an outstanding syrup for what it seems to be intended: mixed drinks. I have used it for that with excellent results. However the flavor is not pure ginger; there is a distinct lemon/lime taste and odor. I made a mistake by interpreting the label’s “natural flavors” to be limited to ginger (although, in my defense, the picture on the label only shows ginger). I bought it because the Ginger People brand syrup, which has no other taste than ginger, had a long delivery time. The upshot – if you can tolerate the citrus flavor this is a fine syrup at a very good price. If you want a pure ginger taste, stick with the Ginger People product.

Great taste in drinks and coffee

I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine who is suffering from a very bad illness. She tried it on some vanilla ice cream which I also brought, and her whole attitude changed from one of sadness to utter joy! She loves ginger and said this one was perfectly balanced between the bite of the ginger and the sweetness of the sugar. She loved it! I tried it and loved it, too! Very good quality product that ensures I will be buying it again for her in the near future !

I love this syrup! I have now bought two bottles and it is the perfect mix of ginger and sugar. I didn’t want too sweet of syrup because I like to mix it with cocktails and it’s perfect for me! I also bought the pump that fits this brand and I love the convenience of it!

I make a passion fruit drink and the ginger works very well with it

I LOVE ginger syrups and have been making my way through a variety of them to find the best. I mix them in mules, use them to flavor homemade lemonade, add a splash to snazz up an ordinary glass of water. This Monin one certainly fell waaaay short, however. It smelled strongly of what reminded me of rubbing alcohol; it did not smell like something that should go into a (nonpoisonous) drink.HOWEVER, I am daring, we're in the middle of a pandemic, and I thought I'd be a bit wild and free ... so I went ahead and poured a bit into my glass of lemonade. The taste was decent but the smell was still there and quite overpowering. It was too unpleasant to even stomach. I had to pour the rest of the bottle down the sink. What a waste!All I can figure is that perhaps it had been stored in a very hot warehouse or gone rancid in some way.I thought Monin syrups were top of the line -- aren't they the kind in coffee shops? I sadly will not be ordering any more, though I was looking forward to branching out into new flavors.
